Is it the End for Tsukasa and Hyoga in Dr. Stone Manga? Can They be Resurrected?

What I once sought to destroy…has become a shining star of hope

Tsukasa Shishioquic

In chapter 188, Kohaku, Hyoga, and Tsukasa jumped into a reckless fight with Stanley’s henchmen. They somehow managed to destroy the enemy’s communication device, but this victory came at the cost of Tsukasa and Hyoga’s lives.

I cannot help but blame Senku for facing Stanley head-on, every time I recall the chapter’s final pages where Tsukasa slowly bleeds to his death.

After all, those two were the strongest fighters of the Kingdom of Science, and I don’t think Senku will let them die that easily. As long as they have a working medusa device, there are chances of resurrecting Tsukasa and Hyoga from the dead.

1. How Bad Is the Injury?

If it was any other franchise, I would have been certain that there’s no coming back from the injuries Tsukasa and Hyoga have incurred.

Tsukasa lies on the ground, entrusting all his hopes to Senku as he gradually falls unconscious. On the other hand, Hyoga has been shot from a closer range and is in a worse state if not already dead.

I am pretty sure that Kohaku will survive. Thanks to Tsukasa and Hyoga’s selflessness, Kohaku didn’t get hit by any bullets.

2. Will Hyoga and Tsukasa Survive?

We have seen in the previous chapters how the revival process can heal even life-threatening injuries. But I wonder if that healing effect is effective enough to bring the dead back to life.

In his final moments, Tsukasa hopes that the godly medusa device may somehow save him from dying. It’s ironic how his life depends on a thin line called ‘science’ that he once sought to destroy.

Although it’s not confirmed, I would like to believe the same thing. If the revival process can bring life back to the stone statues after thousands of years, it shouldn’t be impossible for the same process to save Tsukasa and Hyoga before it’s too late.

3. Senku is their Only Hope

Now it totally depends on Senku to win this scientific war and aid his teammates as fast as possible. I think they need to remove the bullets before petrifying them to avoid any future infections.

The revival process has always been a trump card for Senku. He used it previously to save himself from Tsukasa’s hit to his nape, and also to heal Mirai from her comatose state. Can he pull off such a miracle once again?

Unlike Attack on Titan, the franchise isn’t known for killing its main characters so easily, thereby giving us all more reason to hope for their survival.

But be assured that nothing unscientific will be shown, because who needs ‘Dragon Balls’ or ‘Rinnegan’ when you have the power of science with you?

After all, Dr. Stone is the series that made us fall in love with science!
