Japanese-Chinese-South Korean Film Sayonara, Tyranno Out this Winter
Inspired by a children’s dinosaur-themed book, ‘Sayonara, Tyranno’ is a story about three dinosaurs on a journey searching for a place called ‘Heaven.’ This film features an exciting blend of Japanese, Chinese, and South Korean animation styles.
Since it is a Japanese-Chinese-South Korean co-produced project, it will be released in all those languages with animation styles from each culture. This movie is jam-packed with cute characters and mesmerizing visuals.
The film has been delayed for a long time due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. Now it is finally releasing in Japan.

The trailer starts with how the main characters Tyranno, Phnom, and Tops met each other. As their lively journey goes on, some of the other dinosaurs are shown plotting something wicked for the protagonists.
It moves on to a more distressing tone as our trio begins to face more challenges along their path. Will Phnom learn to fly? Will Tops ever meet his family again? Will Tyranno get to see ‘heaven’? All of these can only be answered once the film is out.
The film also revealed a visual featuring the protagonists for this announcement.

Moreover, a special music video was unveiled that previewed the film’s ending theme song ‘Rakuen wo Futari de’ by Hanaregumi and kotringo.
The song is very calming and perfectly fits the captivating visuals of the video and the wholesome scenes of Tyranno, Phnom, and Tops.
The MV has many more scenes from the film, some sad and some happy, but it is soothing to the core.
What makes this film exciting is its characters. The protagonists include a vegetarian tyrannosaurus rex and a pteranodon who for some reason cannot fly.
Pteranodons are the dinosaurs known for flying, and tyrannosaurus rex are known for being vicious carnivores. Considering this, the characters bring something new to the table.
