JJK: Cursed Techniques of All Special Grade Sorcerers – Explained!

The power of sorcerers, cursed spirits, and cursed objects and tools are all quantified on Jujutsu Kaisen’s own power scale.

The grades in this system are as follows: Grade 4, Grade 3, Semi-Grade 2, Semi-Grade 1, Grade 1, Special Grade 1, and Special Grade.

Characters with Special Grade jujutsu sorcery are among the series’ mightiest, both in terms of their resistance to and effectiveness with extremely potent cursed techniques.

Just four sorcerers of Special Grade are known to exist in Jujutsu Kaisen; Satoru Gojo possesses Limitless, Suguru Geto Cursed Spirit Manipulation, Yuta Okkotsu Rika, and Yuki Tsukumo Star Rage.

These sorcerers of the Special Grade are capable of destruction on a scale far beyond that of regular jujutsu sorcerers. Let’s talk about what makes them so unique, and investigate the incredibly potent cursed techniques they can use.

Satoru Gojo

Satoru Gojo is a Special Grade jujutsu sorcerer due to his inherited cursed technique Limitless and his special Six Eyes capacity, as well as his immense cursed power and Unrestricted Void Domain Expansion.

1. Exceptional Grade Cursed Method: No Boundaries

Limitless is Satoru Gojo’s primary cursed technique, and it is also the most powerful cursed technique in all of Jujutsu Kaisen. It is a family secret passed down through the generations of the Gojo family, but Satoru’s unique ability to use his Six Eyes, an extremely rare form of ocular jujutsu, makes the technique particularly potent in his hands.

Gojo is unbeatable because only those with Six Eyes can fully utilize Limitless.

With Limitless, Gojo can control the volume of space around him. It appears primarily in three colors and tones: infinite, blue, and red. Purple is another manifestation, a mix of those two colors.

I. Infinity

If Gojo is in his default Infinity state of Limitless, he has the ability to slow down or even stop any object that comes close to his invisible aura’s boundary. By analyzing the aura, he can determine the strength and danger level of his attacker.

Gojo’s ability to levitate ensures that there is an infinite distance between him and the rest of the world, but he can harness this power to the point where he can reach out and touch things and interact with others.

Since the cursed technique splits the finite distance between Gojo and the approaching object an infinite number of times, it is reminiscent of the concept of a black hole, with Gojo’s aura functioning as the event horizon, preventing any unwanted attack or person from actually reaching Gojo himself.

II. Lapse: Blue

Method of Curse Lapse The second incarnation of the cursed technique that Gojo inherited, Limitless, is Blue.

Negative distance becomes a physical reality, allowing Gojo to start an imploding force simply by making a vacuum out of negative cursed energy.

Since empty space behaves like a black hole, the magnetic effect of Blue can produce a massive field of attraction that can hone in on targets that are both moving quickly and being pursued from a great distance.

III. Reversal: Red

Method of Curse Reversal The third iteration of the Limitless cursed technique Gojo inherited from his family is red, the polar opposite of blue.

Using this technique, one can generate a pushing or repelling force by channeling cursed energy in reverse. When Gojo releases his red orb, it fires lasers powerful enough to destroy even the most evil cursed spirits.

Red emits at least 2 times as much energy as Blue.

IV. Hollow: Purple

Method of Curse Void: Purple is the imaginary mass that instantly erases the target from reality, created by the collision of Blue and Red, integration and divergence, interest and repulsion, implosion and blast.

This is an example of the singularity in action, where the objective is annihilated at the subatomic level.

V. Void Expansion of the Domain

The Unrestricted Void technique is a cursed form of Domain Expansion used by Limitless. To put it simply, it ensnares something in infinity.

Gojo’s unlimited access to knowledge can stun his adversary into inaction.

2. Six-Eyed Curse Abilities Special Supporting Talent

Six Eyes plays a critical role in making the most of Limitless’ potential. For the first time in the last century, Gojo is the first jujutsu conjurer to be born with both Limitless and Six Eyes. This distinguishes him not only from the rest of the sorcerers of Special Grade, but also from the rest of the Gojo family.

The concept of “Six Eyes” is mysterious. The user is endowed with superhuman perception and an unmatched mastery of the Limitless tool.

Gojo’s use of Limitless is effectively unrestricted once he equips Six Eyes. Without it, he would be unable to use his abilities for very long before his energy was depleted.

Gojo’s Six Eyes can be used in combination with any iteration of his cursed Limitless technique, giving him unprecedented power over and depth in his manipulation of cursed energy. Gojo’s cursed energy is endless thanks to his Six Eyes, but he clearly wears out under its constant strain.

Aside from classifying objects according to the amount of wretched energy they emit, Gojo says that he can also do so based on their size, velocity, and shape using his Six Eyes ability. Once performed by hand, this procedure is now performed automatically.

Gojo is the most powerful character in the series thanks to the combination of Limitless and Six Eyes, which gives him access to an endless supply of cursed energy.

Suguru Geto

Cursed Spirit Deception, of which Uzumaki is a part, was the primary cursed technique used by Suguru Geto.

It was said that Geto was on par with Gojo, but that the former’s journey took him astray, allowing Gojo to eventually surpass him.

1. Cursed Spirit Manipulation is a high-level cursed technique.

Geto’s ability to manipulate curses and cursed spirits, including Special Grade cursed spirits, allowed him to store them in black orbs he could swallow and later use.

As long as he dispelled them and got rid of the users first, he could also soak up the curses of other jujutsu conjurers.

Geto’s vast and varied arsenal was made possible by his ability to absorb the cursed techniques of cursed spirits of Semi-Grade 1 and higher.

Like Shikigami, the absorbed cursed spirits could be called upon whenever necessary, and Geto could open various portals through which they could appear.

What set him apart from other summoning-type cursed techniques, like Megumi’s, was that there was no limit to the number of curses he could expunge, consume, and unleash. This never-ending loop was ultimately what derailed Geto.

He was able to control multiple curses at once, giving him an edge in many different areas (attack, defense, flight, surveillance, restriction, etc.).

I. Maximum: Uzumaki

Geto can use Maximum Uzumake to combine a lot of wretched spirits into one roiling cursed spirit that has a lot of cursed energy packed into it.

In this state, Uzumaki might be able to use the cursed spirits, but Geto is in charge of the cursed techniques. This gives him twice as much power.

Geto let out 2000 of his curses during the Night Parade. After that, he combined the other 4461 cursed spirits inside of him to make Uzumaki.

In his last fight against Yuta and Rika, he used this.

Yuta Okkotsu

Yuta Okkotsu used to be haunted by Rika Orimoto, a Special Grade cursed human, but now he can fully express Rika’s cursed enthusiasm and access and control her cursed energy, making him a Special Grade sorcerer.

He could fight Geto, who was almost as strong as Gojo himself.

1. Special Grade Cursed Technique: Rika

Rika is an instinctive cursed technique that Yuta has that can safeguard him on its own.

Because of her strength, Rika was called the Queen of Curses. The ring that Rika Orimoto wears links her to Yuta.

Through his connection, Yuta can use Rika’s power, including her afflicted energy, cursed techniques, and cursed tools.

I. Complete Manifestation

Yuta can use all of Rika’s cursed power when he is connected to her through the ring. This connection is so strong that it can only last for 5 minutes total.

While in this type, Yuta can copy an unlimited number of cursed techniques, even if they were passed down to him. This means he could possibly copy Limitless and Six Eyes. He has made a copy of Toge’s Cursed Speech, which can only be passed down through the Inumaki family.

Rika can also give Yuta some of the many cursed tools she has, like the Steel Arm he uses against Uro.

II. Energy Manipulation With a Curse

Yuta and Rika’s spirit still have all the cursed energy she had when she obligated Orimoto’s soul. Rika can not only store cursed power for Yuta, but she can also refill his huge amount of cursed energy, which is more than even Satoru Gojo has.

This makes him very strong and tough, and it also gives him some healing powers. He also has an outstanding reinforcement technique, an advanced way to control cursed energy, and a refined way to do the opposite of a curse.

Yuki Tsukumo

In the latest manga chapter 205, Yuki’s cursed technique was shown for the first time. Its name is “Star Rage” or “Wrath of the Star,” and she uses it to fight Kenjaku.

Yuki used to be a Star Plasma Vessel, and her technique probably helped her decide not to fuse with Tengen. It also shows why she was able to stop Uraume’s cursed Icefall technique with almost no effort.

1. Special Grade Cursed Technique: Star Rage

With Star Rage, Yuki can give herself a virtual amount of mass. She can gain so much weight that it’s more than anything else in or out of cursed techniques. This makes her even stronger, to the point where her power can’t be measured.

This makes her almost immune to a lot of attacks that are meant for her or Garuda, her Shikigami. Since Star Rage makes you bigger, it makes Yuki and Garuda too big to be hurt by curses and attacks that are meant for them specifically.

Since this mass is not real, Yuki’s imbued mass has no impact on her. This means that it doesn’t change her speed or durability.

Kenjaku knows that he can’t use high-level cursed spirits on her because they wouldn’t work. Yuki also does it without breaking a sweat: he breaks all the bones in Kenjaku’s arm.

Jujutsu Kaisen
