Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 124: Will Kugisaki Die?
Jujutsu Kaisen is currently going through an adrenaline-fueled arc. Yuuji and Mahito’s much-awaited battle is ongoing but it seems like there is going to be an unexpected death in the long run.
During the Shibuya incident arc, Mahito had consumed the energies of a lot of humans and was able to make a clone of himself. While the real Mahito fought Yuuji in the underground station, the clone was going berserk above ground.
Mahito’s twin was found by Kugisaki and a battle raged between them. Kugisaki had successfully made the clone Mahito think that she is weak and attacked with resonance. This attack weakened both the clone as well as the real Mahito.
Jujutsu Kaisen 120: Much-Awaited Yuji vs Mahito Begins!
In chapter 124, Mahito’ s clone tries to run away and sets a trap for Kugisaki. He changes places with Mahito and Kusisaki fails to notice it in the heat of the moment.
Mahito’s cursed energy allows him to reshape souls by touching them. He plans to kill Kugisaki in the most brutal way possible to mentally break Yuuji.
Will Kugisaki Die?
As soon as Mahito’s hands touch Kugisaki, the scene changes to a flashback of Kugisaki’s childhood years.
As all experienced manga readers know, flashbacks in such situations are just no good. It typically foreshadows either a new power or death.
As fans, we can only hope that she is recollecting her past to reveal a latent power. If she does get a power-up then Mahito will be in a tough spot and we don’t know if he would have gotten rid of it yet.
However, if Kugisaki is killed, Yuuji might lose his calm. Mahito will get an upper arm and Yuuji will have to somehow live to face Mahito again.
We have to wait for the next chapter to know for sure about what will happen to Kugisaki.
