The Culling Games arc has begun with a blast and our protagonist is the first to face his opponent. The author of this manga clearly made it very different from its companions in the Shonen Genre.

Sukuna’s Appearance:
At the end of the latest chapter, Itadori accepted his crime and received the death penalty. He was accused of killing hundreds of people during the Shibuyu incident and Itadori accepted his crime in the blink of an eye.
If the death penalty is carried on and in some way, he got killed then we can be sure to see Sukuna once again. Sukuna has been absent for a long time and his appearance means nothing but death.
The last time Itadori died he got his heart taken out by Sukuna and still lived so it will be very interesting to see how he save himself this time.
The deal between them is still a mystery to us and the uncertainties in Sukuna’s action might prove to be a downfall for everyone in colony 1.

During the fight with Higuruma, Itadori soon realized that he cannot continue fighting with him without cursed energy. He planned on calling re-verdict and then denying any accusation that was to be put on him.

Itadori instantly accepted his crime cause the guilt of murders and horrors from that night was still burdened on his heart.
Now he is accused and his punishment is also declared. All he can do now is face the adversely head-on. There were a lot of uncertainties about how he will be killed and what will Higuruma decide but it sure will be interesting.

- Higurama than asks if Yuji ever killed anyone and to which he replies “yes”.
- At the end of the chapter, Higurama agrees to help out Yuji.
