Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 244’s Japanese release date and time is Monday, December 4 at 12 AM JST. This means the daytime release for international fans is on Sunday, December 3.
Fans can read the issue via official sources on Viz Media’s official website, Shueisha’s MANGAPlus website, or the Shonen Jump+ app. The former two services are free while the third one is a paid, subscription-based service that provides readers access to the complete series.
However, the raw scans and fan translations will be available by 30 November 2023 in the Reddit forums and Twitter.

Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 243 Recap: Yuta’s Sneak Attack
Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 243 focuses explicitly on Kenjaku and Takaba performing a live comedy. The set had been set from the end of Chapter 242 so it was a given that they would perform live comedy — the biggest dream of Takaba. Finally, he gets to achieve his dream with Kenjaku as his partner.
Another interesting fact about Chapter 243 is that the fans get an insight into Kenjaku’s past — his relationship with his mother and how that shapes his personality. However, this chapter is also heavily focused on Takaba because as we could all guess, it is the last of him. Takaba manages to fulfill his dream and thus, he peacefully passes away with a smile on his face. Kenjaku looks at him in admiration, clearly impressed by his opponent’s capabilities.
The main attraction of the last chapter, however, is Yuta’s inclusion and his attack on Kenjaku. Surprisingly, Kenjaku had not felt his cursed energy despite having years of experience. And Yuta’s cursed energy is no joke!
Yuta takes Kenjaku completely by surprise and uses his sword to sever his head. Kenjaku tries to use the Anti-gravity Cursed Reversal Technique but to no avail. This entire scheme was possible, thanks to Takaba and his sacrifice. Finally, we learn Yuta and the others’ plan to attack Kenjaku — use Takaba as bait for Yuta to take him down.
But, ultimately it’s Kenjaku. He’s just a brain so is it possible for Yuta to completely end him?
Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 244 Manga Spoliers: Is This Kenjaku’s End?
Following the last chapter, fans are amped up to see what’s in store for them and Kenjaku. Currently, his status affirms that he will not be able to go back to Geto’s body, which he needs to continue his goal — the merger. Thus, it is likely that he has failed to accomplish his goal. The next chapter will focus heavily on Kenjaku’s fate and his next step.
Kenjaku needs to somehow cause distraction to escape Yuta or this might be the end of, essentially, one of the biggest villains of the story. Fans are of the opinion that if Kenjaku were to die like this, it would amount to nothing. Further, it is a very anticlimactic way to conclude such a powerful villain’s existence.
Likely, Kenjaku will ultimately manage to escape to find another body.
Sukuna Back in Action
Chapter 244 might bring back Sukuna in the picture whose battles had taken a backseat all this while. Last time, we saw him finish off Kashimo and return to his reincarnated state. It is now on Yuji and Higuruma to collaborate and use their strengths to defeat Sukuna. Fans are awaiting this impending battle and it seems like it is finally close.
Will Yuji win the fight?
Yuji may undergo a huge transformation. His grief regarding the loss of his mentor and best friend might act as a catalyst in his fight against the indomitable villain.
