Jujutsu Kaisen is Celebrating 30 Million Sold Copies with New Cover Art and it Looks Awesome
When 2020 locked us all in our homes, anime and manga were our only saving grace but there’s one in particular that stood out the most. That’s right I’m talking about every otaku’s favorite Jujutsu Kaisen.
Released in 2018 the manga slowly rose to popularity but it wasn’t until October of 2020 after release of the Jujutsu Kaisen anime adaptation that the manga sales skyrocketed.
Shueisha reported that the manga has circulated more than 30 Million copies both in digital and print form as of February 2021. It took a huge leap from 8.5 Million in October of 2020 to 20 Million in January of 2021 in terms of sales.
The cumulative circulation of the series has exceeded 30 million! (Including digital version) In commemoration of this, the 15th volume cover released on Thursday, March 4, 2021 will be released at the fastest speed! Thank you for your continued support!

And to celebrate this exciting news Jujutsu Kaisen’s official Twitter account also shared the cover art for Volume 15th coming this March.
I think Mahito looks quite intense in the cover art and all the colors just add a bit more spookiness to the whole thing.
The most attractive thing I find about the manga apart from its familiar yet different storyline is the way Gege Akutami drew each character.
I’m sure we all agree that the characters have a striking resemblance to characters from other anime, but there’s more to their uniqueness.
Yuuji’s Sukuna transformation, Kugisaki’s tough girl image, and Gojo-sensei’s striking blue eyes are some of the things that drew me towards Jujutsu Kaisen and not to mention the creepy curses that makes the manga chapters just a bit more supernatural.
But, we do have to wait for chapter 138 since Gege has taken a week hiatus due to illness.
Jujutsu Kaisen Manga On Break! Chapter 138 DELAYED Due To Artist’s Illness
This 350% leap in manga sales in four months is for sure a new record for the publishers. With chapter 137 concluding the ongoing Shibuya Incident arc, we found our favorite Gojo-sensei being imprisoned and Yuuji being hunted down.
The upcoming chapter might reveal Yuuji’s plan to rescue his sensei. Let’s wait and see what happens.
About Jujutsu Kaisen
Jujutsu Kaisen was initially published as a serialized manga in the Weekly Shonen Jump in 2018.
The story revolves around Yuuji Itadori, a high-school student who, despite hating athletics, is insanely fit. Yuuji gets involved in the world of sorcery when he swallows a powerful talisman to protect his friends from its curse.
On observing that Yuuji wasn’t affected much even when inflicted with this curse, Satoru decides to send Yuuji on a quest to save the world.
