Jujutsu Kaisen: Maki steal’s the limelight, Episode 17 Recap, and spoilers!

Jujutsu Kaisen is back, bringing with it another amazing battle round. Episode 17 tells us more about Maki, Mai, and their Clan Zenin. The episode is a perfect blend of powerful action and emotions. The animation was as usual stunning. If you haven’t watched the episode yet, there are going to be spoilers ahead. So without any delay let’s dive into the battle arena of the Kyoto Sister School Exchange Event.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Episode 17 Recap

Miwa is barely holding Maki off, as the dual progress, Maki takes control of the battle by landing continuous attacks. Miwa activates her simple domain to counter the long-range attacks but to her surprise, Maki breaks her weapon into two and throws it at her as she closes the distance. Maki attacks Miwa and takes her sword. The scene cuts directly to the main room where every jujutsu faculty is sitting. They talk about Maki’s skill and her promotion, Gojo knows something is wrong as the area where Itadori is fighting is not monitored.

On the other hand, Nobara and Momo face off each other. After a series of continuous attacks from Nobara, she finally is able to grab a bristle from Momo’s broom and brings her down. As Nobara attacks Momo with a squeaky hammer, she is taken down by Mai Zenin with her rubber bullet.

After this Maki with Miwa’s sword challenges Mai into a dual. But the power level between both is clearly visible. Throughout the battle or rather the episode, we get to see the flashbacks of Mai and Maki’s life at the Zenin clan. In the end, Mai loses as she talks about her feeling of being a jujutsu sorcerer.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Episode 18, Release Date

Jujutsu Kaisen Episode 18 “Sage” will air on 12th February 2021. Note that the new episode airs on Friday, every week. If there’s any delay, we will update this post, so that you won’t miss out on any episode. The preview gives fans a glimpse of Megumi Vs Kamo. and hints towards Inumaki using his cursed speech.
