Tower of God is a Korean webtoon written and illustrated by S.I.U (Slave in Utero). It is initially published in Naver. The English version is published on Webtoon. This is considered to be one of the most influential webtoons of all time, having topped charts for years. Every chapters gathers millions of views. Its pay per view system is exceedingly popular due to its suspense filled nature.
The Tower is a place to fulfil desires. Whatever a person does claim – wealth, power, fame or something else – it is all available atop the tower, one just has to begin the journey. Our Hero Ba’am gets accidentally pulled in, wanting to reunite with the only friend he has – Rachel.
Being confined in an isolated space, Rachel was his only light. In the Tower, Baam quickly finds great companions to accompany him, his best friend here being Khun. And with this, he tries to go up the tower. But first, he must pass the Floor of Test – Evankhell’s Hell! What does fate have for him in this tumultuous place?
Tower of God Season 2 Release Date:
As of now, there is no concrete news of a new season. The release date or PV have not been decided yet. Season 1 has just ended and everyone is waiting for the DvD-Bluray release. Given that Naver Webtoons is one of the producers, we can expect the announcement of Season 2 after a few months.
It will be up to Crunchyroll to handle the anime creation since Season 1 was labeled as a Crunchyroll Original. We are regularly checking the websites and sources for more news and will update you when they are revealed to us.
Tower of God Season 2 Plot:
As we said earlier, Season 1 is just the Prologue. It is simply the events of the First Floor – The Floor of Tests. The main journey starts here.
Season 2 will cover the next part – The Prince of Jahad. This will take place after a brief Timeskip after Part 1. A whole new cast of characters will be introduced. The most important one here is the fan-favorite character – Wangnan Jah.
A series of intriguing occurrences take place in Baam’s life and leads him to a dangerous path. We will get a triumphant return and Part 2 will feature both Baam and Wangnan as its leading characters.
Following that, we will have Part 3, the workshop battle arc, which reveals terrifying things about the Tower. We get the turn of many beloved characters here and the journey finally takes a steady shape.
We are expecting Tower of God Season 2 to be a 24 episode series, that will cleanly cover Parts 2 and 3 of the story. Given the length of Part 2, a 12 episode season is unlikely and it probably won’t be divided into 2 courses either.
Tower of God Cast:
As of now, little to no information about the cast is known to us. Given that Crunchyroll decides on the series director, music composers and so, we are expecting Ichikawa Taichi to return as Baam. Hayami Saori should reprise her role as Rachel. Okamoto Nobuhiko and Miayake Jenta will return as Khun and Rak, respectively.
Similarly, there will be other actors returning. Since there will be new characters here, we are expecting new voice actors to fill these roles. The main role is Jah Wangnan as he is a very talkative guy, some might say whiny.
