Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Chapter 204 Recap
The Kimetsu no Yaiba 204 titled “A world without demon” begins with a time skip, as we are brought to Tanjiro who recovers at butterfly mansion, while he peers at the cherry blossoms alongside Nezuko, Inosuke and Zenitsu.
Nezuko witnessing his brother’s state, asks him about his condition. Tanjiro replies that he does not feel anything beneath the elbow and then points to his right eye, remarking he cannot see anything out of it. Still feeling guilty over attacking her, he apologizes but she claims that nobody cares about that and if he apologizes for it, she will hit him.
Later, He mentions that Yushiro told him about Nezuko’s immunity to Muzan’s cells and if they did not have Shinobu’s medicine or Nezuko, he may never had return as human again. Yushiro praises Tanjiro for not losing his sense of self and says his aptitude as a demon was the greatest. Tanjiro modestly replies that he received a lot of help to reach here.
Then, Yushiro claims it to be a joke and not to take it seriously. Before he leaves, Tanjiro calls out to him and asks him not to die as he is the only one who can remember Tamayo-san forever. Abruptly, Tanjiro asks Nezuko, whereabouts of Giyu and about his condition. Nezuko comments that he is well and went to meet Oyakata-sama.
Meanwhile, Kiriya commences the final hashira meeting, with the only two surviving Hashira, Giyu and Sanemi. She announces that Demon Hunters will be disbanded as of today and she and entire Ubuyashiki clan expresses their gratitude towards the hashira.
Both the hashira protests and mention that if not for the support and freedom provided by Unuyashiki clan, the mission would not have been possible. Giyu comments that she (Kiriya) has done an incredible job and her father and forefathers would definitely be proud.
Soon, Tengen, the sword smiths and a group of kaksuhi, all joins the room where Tanjiro laid and fills the room with contentment. Amidst of it, Shinjuro Rengoku thanks Tanjiro for using his son’s (Kyojuru Rengoku) hand guard on his blade during battle. Tanjiro humbly replies that Kyojuro’s always inspired and helped him.
Furthermore, we are brought to Kanao who stands in the garden and tells Tanjiro that the beautiful tree was called Victory and had been planted by the first user of flower breathing. Tanjiro asks her about her condition, to which she responds that she is better now. She also mentions that Sanemi even gave her Obanai’s pet snake Kaburamaru to take care.
Sanemi meets Nezuko who greets him, and inquires about his injuries. Sanemi apologizes for crumpling after Muzan’s defeat. She cheerfully responds that it was no trouble as she once passed out for 2 years and that she loves to sleeps, which reminds Sanemi of his brother. Sanemi smiles and pats her head, telling her to take care.
Lastly, our heroes pay their respect to all the fallen comrades and people and then departs to Kamado residence. After they arrive there, they finally pay respect to others Kamado’s by kneeling and praying and begin their new life together. In the last panel, time leaps forward to a large, modern city.

The modern era and life of our heroes within it: In the last panel, we see time leaves forward to a modern world. Hence, we may see the final chapter covering the new modern world and how much it has progressed after the definitive battle between the demon hunters and Muzan. A world without demons and how much has it evolved from the present world itself. Secondly, the chapter could cover all of our survivor’s lifestyle in this world and how they have changed and adapted to such a world.
Demons and demon hunters whirled into famous folklore or myth-: The existence of demon hunters and demons from the beginning was kept hidden from the common people and society. As demon survey corps get disbanded in the present chapter, the truth and knowledge will only be in the hearts of Hashira and members of survey corps.
While the time leaps forward to a modern world, the existence, in turn, will be nothing but rumors or folklore. This may reflect how their existence and sacrifices will be non-existent to others, which in turn symbolize the grief in itself.
Kanao and Tanjiro ending up together/Zenitsu and Nezuko’s new bond: The last chapter is set to go to showcase our favorite characters as adults and some of them, might already be married. Tanjiro and Kanao is one big ship/couple that may already have married in the last chapter. Tanjiro and Kanao have enough hint, so as to why both may end up together.
Tanjiro played an important role in Kanao’s life and her own will. In the present and previous chapters, you can easily see how supportive they are to each other. Thus, it is one of the substantial possibility that maybe showcased in the final chapter.
Zenitsu on several occasions showcases his strong sense of possession over Nezuko. He firmly believes that Nezuko is his fated partner, thus we see him usually getting jealous when others dot Nezuko. While Nezuko also considers him as a great companion but nothing more. She is yet to view him other than just a friend to something more reliable.
The time skip to the modern era may showcase that after spending so much time together, Nezuko started to understand Zenitsu and see him as a possible partner. I highly doubt that they may be into a relationship yet, it would be more like a new bond between them has forged and they love each other’s company.
The evolution of society: Demons existence was kept secret and hidden from the society but even so they had successfully had an impact over the humans and their society. Forthwith, that the world is free from demons, we may see a new evolution of society in the world of Kimetsu no Yaiba. Even our heroes, after their role as demon hunter being over, will find new jobs to survive in the competitive world. The way they get adapted to it and learn this new system will remark how humanity progresses after hard crusades.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba official news regarding the manga ending next week
Before Shueisha’s weekly shounen jump announced that demon slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba manga will reach the story’s finale in the next chapter of weekly jump i.e. precisely Kimetsu no Yaiba chapter 205.
Today, weekly Shounen Jump put out a new chapter which confirms that the manga will end next week and chapter 205 will be the last issue of the series. The notice was posted at the end of chapter 204. The update ends with teaser page showing a modern city and the text confirms chapter will be last of demon slayer.
The last chapter aka Demon Slayer Chapter 205 will be 24 pages long with a center color page as well.
Kimetsu no Yaiba chapter 205 release date
Kimetsu no Yaiba 205 will is scheduled to release on 18th May 2020. According to sources, unlike before the manga chapter will not be further delayed by corona pandemic. Chapter 205 will also be the final chapter of the series.
