The preview actually showed us what all the Hashiras think about Rengoku as a person. And without an exception, we saw all positive comments. Rengoku is one of the brightest Hashira and he truly lives up to his title.

In Demon Slayer Episode 28, we will see Tanjiro and company meet Rengoku, when he yells delicious.
Their interactions will go positively and Tanjiro will ask the hashira about his Hinokami Kagura, only to find no information.
Rengoku won’t be able to tell him much about his black blade either. But that is fine because a demon will appear and Rengoku will proceed to purge it easily.
The youngsters will be impressed and ask Rengoku to train them. Following this, they all fall asleep.
That is when Enmu of the Twelve Kizuki appears. He is lower rank one. As he sees his foes in Deep Sleep, he is quite excited!
Season 2 Episode 1 Recap:
Mugen Train is a strange case. Over 40 people have disappeared and no swordsman has ever returned. Hence, Hashira Rengoku is assigned to the case. He goes and investigates the case only to find a vicious demon praying on the poor people.
Rengoku saves a bento vendor Fuku and her grandmother is reminded of how she was saved by the previous flame hashira.
Rengoku manages to purge the demon, who has already injured several people and was a menace due to his speed.
In the end, the new Mugen Train is reinstated and Rengoku boards it. He believes that a demon far stronger than the one he beat, is hiding somewhere in this train.
As Rengoku boards, Fuku and her grandma gifts the hashira with a lot of bento boxes. Just then, Inosuke, Zenitsu, Nezuko, and Tanjiro board the train as well!
