Kingdom is like a video game. There is a mission acceptance, followed by mission completion, followed by rank up rewards. Its gives a certain addictive charm to the story. The sense of progression is never absent from this series.
Yasuhisa Hara’s Kingdom is a seinen war manga currently published in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump manga. It unveils the story of the Unification of China; a fictional retelling of the Warring States Period. Its popularity stems from its realistic portrayal of war, with a flick of shonen qualities, maximizing its charms.
With the release of Kingdom Manga 643, we are in the process of wrapping up the Western Zhao invasion arc. It has been the greatest battle so far and it’s scale and grandeur are truly in a league of their own. This battle shows us a great image of King Ei Sei’s dreams.
Before we move on to the recap and spoilers, we want to announce that Solo Leveling 111 is still on a break with no release date in sight and it’s the same situation with Dragon Ball Super Season 2 as well.

Chapter 642: First Class Exemplary Reward
The Qin watch as a huge number of people are migrating. It has been five months since the end of the invasion war and Qin wasted no time in filling its new territory with citizens. The new land sitting between Retsubi, Ryouyou and Gyou have been secured completely.
For the civilians, it was a journey to an unknown land full of jobs and possibilities. Also, they can avoid paying taxes for a whole year. Multiple guards were dispatched along with them, for protection.
In Kanyou, Ten meets MouKi and talk about the war debriefing. Ten apologized for the death of Adjutant Kozen. MouTen and MouKi were glad that Shin could exact revenge. Ten regretted the loss of soldiers in their group. MouKi showed Ten the updated map of China, which shows Qin’s additional territory.
While Qin invaded Zhao, GouHouMei of Wei seized the chance to take back some lost territory. But General Tou returned and stopped the foes at Sanyou. In addition of the migration, RiShi was sent there too. He was successful at Sanyou and so, he could bring more success in the new land.
The Generals could not afford to leave together, they kept the border in check, expecting counterattacks from Zhao. However, RiBoku still being imprisoned was a good news for Qin. He had escaped capital punishment due to his supporters.
Ten mentions attacking Zhao again and MouKi agrees. In fact, ShouHeiKun agrees as well. But there is still time for that as they have to sort through intel and prepare a battle plan. Finally, the awards ceremony.
Shin refuses to change into noble clothes; Sei meets him and they silently breathe a sigh of relief and achievement. With OuSen back in Kanyou, the ceremony begins. OuSen received his rewards first. Then Bajio and Maron received the rewards meant for YoTanWa and KanKi. These Generals are still posted back in Zhao.
Then it’s the turn for MouTen of Gaku Ka, OuHon of Gyoko Hou and RiShin of Hi Shin units. As everyone waited with bated breath, these three 5000-men commanders had their achievements revealed. MouTen holding the Left Wing, OuHon stabilizing the Right Wing and slaying Gyou’un. Finally, Shin was able to slay Generals Gaku’Ei and ChouGaRyu; his greatest achievement was slaying HouKen, one of Zhao’s three great heavens, thus avenging the deaths of Great Generals OuKi, Kyou and Duke Hyou.
And with this, the three youngsters are promoted to the rank of General!

Kingdom 643 Spoilers:
There is not a lot of say about the upcoming Kingdom Chapter 643. We know that it will serve the purpose of closing this arc neatly. We believe a major portion of it will be spent on showing how the Gaku Ka, Gyoko Hou and Hi Shin units are celebrating the promotion of their captains to General Status.
We believe it will be revealed that Shin, MouTen and OuHon will now lead more men, possibly 10000 or more. King Sei might find more alone time with Shin and talk about the future.
Kingdom Manga 643 will probably spend time on relaxation. We do expect to see some developments between Shin and KyouKai. They have already reached marriage age and the fans could not be more thrilled if these two get together.
In the next few chapters, we expect Shin to do a self-evaluation, realizing where his strengths and weaknesses lie. It will be interesting to see how he plans to make himself better.

This shows how well Shin accepted the General Status. His expression is eerie. His sights are set in the future. It is clear that he plans to be Great General now, a feat achieved only by the best. Shin still has a long way to go.

This shows that after 642 Chapters, Ei Sei’s dream has a long way to go. In the current pace, Kingdom will reach 2000 chapters and still won’t see the unification. That is why we believe that from now on, only the most important campaigns will be shown, if Hara wants to finish the whole story.
Lastly, Kingdom Chapter 643 is nearly closing out the Zhao Invasion arc. So a new arc is coming, with a new war. What will be the next step to Ei Sei’s campaign? The obvious answer is Zhao, based on Ten and MouKi’s conversation. But we believe, the next target is Han.
Han Attack Theory:
Think about it, Sanyou is still in Qin and Wei is causing trouble. So Wei must be subdued. But with Han nearby, it is not possible. With Zhao weakened and pushed back, if Qin attacks Han, only Wei will help them. Chu will probably stay out because MouBu is in front of them. So if Qin wins the battle of Han, they will get Han and they will weaken Wei. It will open up the path to the defeat of Wei and Zhao together.
Kingdom Official Release Date For Chapter 643:
Kingdom 643 raw scans should be released before June 11, 2020. After that, scanlators will get to translating, typesetting, redrawing, cleaning, and proofreading. The fan translated English version will be released on June 11 or June 12, 2020.
As for the official version, it will be available along with the release of the new Kingdom volume, which still has more than a few months to release. The Kingdom anime is supposed to return soon as well, and no release date has been announced just like One Piece Episode 930.
