With the 4th season reaching the climax, fans are now excited for Kingdom Season 5. It is not news that the Kingdom manga is incredibly popular. Every month, it manages to rake in great sales.
So, it is no wonder that after the strong performance of the current season, fans are excited for Season 5.
The Kingdom manga is a story based on ancient China, back when the Warring States Era was going on. King Ei Sei was the first man to unify all of China under one banner.
And under this charismatic king, was General Ri Shin, the man who helped his King achieve his dream.
Historical seinen manga is always fun to read – stories like Vagabond, Historie, Vinland Saga, and Golden Kamuy. The kingdom manga is a prime example since it manages to narrate a highly compelling story in a dramatized fashion and unlike no other manga in existence, portrays ancient warfare.
As of now, the series has nearly 130 episodes under its wing. While the first two seasons were somewhat weak due to faulty animation, the third and fourth seasons managed to save the franchise with their sheer quality.
The anime doesn’t match up to the brutality and sheer impact of the manga, but it does manage to bring out the true essence of a series like this.

Kingdom Season 5 Anime Announcement
Fans have been tirelessly wondering if there will be a fifth season of the Kingdom anytime soon. Today we have all the answers.
Season 4 will be ending after next month. And as of now, we have no news of Kingdom Season 5. Sometimes, the new season is announced at the end of the last episode, so maybe, we will see Kingdom Anime Season 5 get announced on October 2, 2022.
But, in most cases, sequels are announced later, during major anime festivals or events. Anyways, there are some parameters that can be analyzed to get an estimate of whether a new season can come or not.
First, we look at the source material. Season 4 will end with the conclusion of the State of Ai Arc. After this, there are 100s of chapters left and so much more content waiting to be adapted to the small screen. So, the anime is good on this front.
Next is the popularity of the series. The current season can’t be called very popular. With around 36 thousand members, it does not even cut the top 3000 most popular anime in Myanimelist. On that note, the manga is ranked 58 in popularity. So this side is a bit shaky for the series.
However, the current season has a rating of 8.8 out of 10 on Myanimelist, making it the 30th highest-rated series. That is quite an accomplishment. Additionally, the former season is even better ranked with a score of 8.82! So the critical acclaim is shining!
Based on these three things, it is safe to assume that Kingdom Season 5 anime will be greenlit. Maybe not right now, but in 2023 probably. NHK and Shueisha should continue to invest in this series since it is one of the most quality content that they are releasing right now.
Kingdom Season 5 Anime Release Date
There has been no announcement yet. And without that, it is hard to say when the release will come. The Black Clover movie was announced in early 2021 and even now, we have no idea when it will be released.
That said, we are hoping to see Kingdom Season 5 anime released in 2024 at least.
As of now, we are kind of sure that it will be Shueisha and NHK that will be funding the franchise. Avex Pictures may or may not continue being a producer, we can’t say.
Studios Pierrot and Signpost will continue to collaborate to make the episodes. Crunchyroll will probably continue to be the main distributor of the series.
There are also high expectations for a Dragon Ball Super Season 2 and Tower Of God Season 2 getting announced soon.
Kingdom Anime Season 5 Spoilers
Let us now take a look at what the new season has to offer us. The 4th season has given us nearly 4 arcs over the course of 26 episodes.
Assuming that Kingdom Season 5 provides a similar number of episodes, there is so much that it can show. Manga spoilers ahead!
After the State of Ai arc concludes, we will begin the Koku You campaign arc. It is a very important arc, due to the advancements of Qin and the fact that the Kanki Army fights alongside the Hi Shin Unit.
Qin and Zhao are arch enemies and this battle will be a very important fight for both sides.
Following that, we will have a small arc called Bureaucrats Job Arc. It is a grand setup that leads to one of Qin’s greatest movements. We are so excited about this since it paves the way for one of the scariest and most tense arcs of the series.
