Kojima Productions: Gearing up for a New Venture
Kojima Productions Co., Ltd. is a Japanese video game development studio founded by video game designer Hideo Kojima. Kojima has been designing games since 1985 until the studio was officially formed in 2005.
He released many games like Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner and Boktai until he parted ways with Konami in 2015. Kojima then went on to reform the company as an independent studio in Shinagawa.
Game developer Hideo Kojima’s Kojima Productions company confirmed that they are developing a new project and that they are currently seeking applications for various job positions in their Tokyo studio.
The production company revealed that a new project is in development on Thursday but nothing else regarding the project has been revealed yet.
They are also on the lookout to hire the best in business for their Tokyo studio. The company’s career page has more than 25 job listings, looking for everyone from writers to project managers.
In 2015, Kojima Productions split from Konami, becoming an independent studio.
It released its first game, Death Stranding, in 2019 which ended up becoming one of the most divisive games of our generation, due to its unique approach to the open-world formula.
Death Stranding won many accolades like the Outstanding Achievement in Audio Design and Outstanding Technical Achievement awards at the 23rd annual D.I.C.E. Awards.
