Konosuba Season 3 Announcement:
As of now, there is no news of a third season and everyone is wondering when is Konosuba Season 3 coming out and if there will be a third season or not, just like the rumored Dragon Ball Super Season 2.
But worry not. We are here to discuss all of it. First comes the source material. There are 17 volumes to the main storyline. Season 1 adapted Volumes 1 and 2, Season 2 adapted Volumes 3 and 4.
The following movie adapted Volume 5. So, from this pattern, we can easily deduce that Konosuba Season 3 will have the content from Volumes 6 and 7.
With enough source material to sustain 6 more seasons, we have to look elsewhere for issues. That is the budget and funding areas. First of all, with 10 episode seasons, Konosuba is significantly cheap to make.
To add to this, both seasons 1 and 2 were very popular; they had thousands of Bluray sales and they are up on multiple streaming sites for revenue.
The games of Konosuba have decent popularity. Lastly, the movie earned about 7 million dollars. That’s a great performance on all revenue channels.
Let us not forget Isekai Quartet. This little series has its own fanbase and it serves as a walking promotion for multiple Isekai titles, Konosuba being one among these. Isekai Quartet gets its own seasons and gathers its own revenue.
Needless to say, the series is insanely popular right now. The movie was all over Facebook after its release and now, Konosuba’s popularity is at an all-time high.
The merchandise is selling well, people are always cosplaying and making memes off the series (thanks to Aqua). So based on the above data, it is clear that Konosuba Season 3 is very much possible.
Is Season 3 Cancelled?
The most atrocious rumor going on online right now is that the third season of Konosuba anime has been canceled. But this is not the case.
No cancellation news has been announced by Kadokawa studio and thus we can expect the release date for next season 3 to be announced soon.
Konosuba Season 3 Release Date:
With no announcement yet, the release date of Konosuba Season 3 is quite far off.
We expect Season 3 of Konosuba anime to be announced in 2022 and the release date to be April 2023. By then the movie craze will be gone and the people will be hungry for more.
It will most probably have 11 episodes of 23 minutes each.
Mairimashita Iruma Kun Season 2 is a good competitor but after its 2021 sequel, it won’t be there to challenge Konosuba.
Konosuba S3 will be produced by Kadokawa Shoten, Kadokawa Media, Nippon Colombia, Toranoana, and so on. Crunchyroll maybe or may not be the licensor, but Funimation will probably handle the English dubbing.
It will probably be Studio Deen who makes it but JC Staff can do it as well. Both studios did a great job with the adaptation.
Natsume Akatsuki is the creator of Konosuba. He was the one who wrote the original light novel – it ran for years and ended in 2020. Right now, he is writing multiple spinoffs for Konosuba, telling us more and more about the amazing world and characters he created.
Konosuba S3 Plot:
The story revolves around Kazuma Satou. A shut-in otaku, our hero suffers death. Tragic? Oh hell no. The manner of death is so funny that you might fall off the chair.
Anyways, Kazuma gets teleported to a fantasy world and he brings the useless goddess Aqua along with him.
In this new world, Kazuma befriends Megumin and Darkness. He goes on missions and fights against the evil Demon King. Life is good for Kazuma and the company.
But hold on, nearly everything shown in this series is hilarious. That is because Konosuba is a parody isekai!

Konosuba Season 3 anime will be focusing a lot on the Kazuma x Megumin ship. Fans are really rooting for them and apparently, so does the author! Our heroes will be fighting Sylvia, one of the Demon King’s henchmen.
Following this, they visit Princess Iris in the Capital. Misfortune befalls Kazuma and he is down to his luck. Along with his new ally Chris, Kazuma has to regain all that he lost.

Despite the separate Studios, the cast has been consistent. So they will return for the sequel when it does get announced. Here is the core cast:
