Teru was introduced in the story as an antagonist with loads of similarities to Mob. He was an esper of Mob’s age with a lot of potential, but the most significant difference between them was their attitude.
Such similarities and differences caused Teru to become one of the most lovable villains in the anime and get excellent character development.
The latest teaser for Mob Psycho 100 anime’s third season highlights Teru’s journey from a villain to Mob’s greatest rival.
Since the anime’s third season was announced, Teru fans have been the most excited as the character plays a major role in The Divine Tree arc.
Considering Teru’s powers are on par with Mob’s, the giant broccoli and Dimple use the former as bait and a fighter against the latter. At first, when persuasion didn’t work, Dimple forced Mob and Teru to fight each other.
As Teru would be made into Mob’s opponent once again, the franchise decided to give us a trailer reminiscing the ex-villain. While showing off his crazy hair history, the video also glimpses his triumphs and his bond with Mob.

Mob and Teru might have similar powers, but their personalities couldn’t be any more different. While Mob is a shy introvert, Teru is loud, arrogant, and confident, making their relationship dynamic even better.
