Japanese publisher Kadokawa announced today that the light novelThe World’s Finest Assassin Gets Reincarnated in Another World as at Aristocrat (japanese: Sekai Saikou no Ansatsusha, Isekai Kizoku ni Tensei Suru) will be getting an anime adaptation.
The Japanese TV launch is scheduled for July 2021.
The series is being produced under the direction of Masafumi Tamura (The Misfit of Demon King Academy) in the studios SILVER LINK (Non Non Biyori, My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom!) and Studio Palette. Katsuhiko Takayama (Baka & Test, Boku no Pico) is responsible for the series composition, while Eri Nagata (Ensemble Stars!) is the character designer.
The World’s Finest Assassin Gets Reincarnated in Another World as an Aristocrat was penned by Rui Tsukiyo (Redo of Healer) and has been published by Syosetu since February 2019 with illustrations by Ranicaronica. An English translation is published by Yen Press.
The story of the series:
The greatest assassin on Earth knew only how to live as a tool for his employers—until they stopped letting him live. Reborn by the grace of a goddess into a world of swords and sorcery, he’s offered a chance to do things differently this time around, but there’s a catch…He has to eliminate a super-powerful hero who will bring about the end of the world unless he is stopped. Now known as Lugh Tuatha Dé, the master assassin certainly has his hands full, particularly because of all the beautiful girls who constantly surround him. Lugh may have been an incomparable killer, but how will he fare against foes with powerful magic?
Tsukiyo’s other work, Redo of Healer, has already received an anime adaptation. It is currently being broadcast on Japanese television and will be released on DVD and Blu-ray by AniMoon Publishing from October 29, 2021. Pre-orders for it are currently available.
