MAPPA, The Studio Behind GOH, Is Animating Chainsaw Man
Chainsaw Man, the gory roller-coaster manga by Tatsuki Fujimoto, is getting an anime adaptation. You already know who the animator is from the title itself. MAPPA!
The joy of fans knows no bounds now that the famous studio behind Jujutsu Kaisen, Yuri!! On Ice and The God Of Highschool is responsible for Chainsaw Man. Almost every anime from this studio has been a hit, and expectations are going through the roof.
Yes, Chainsaw Man is getting animated by none other than MAPPA. The rumour about a Chainsaw Man anime adaptation has been around for a while and we have finally received a confirmation.
MAPPA was founded in 2011; it is thus not a very old and established studio. However, within its short span, it has created a name for itself.
Some of its famous anime include Yuri!! On Ice, Banana Fish, Kakegurui: Compulsive Gambler. It is also animating the final season of Attack on Titan.
Chainsaw Man is appreciated for its dark humour, gory and violent scenes, and art style. By October 2020, the manga has 4.2 million copies in circulation. It will also have a stage presentation at the online Jump Festa ’21 event, held on 19-20th December 2020.
It was announced that the manga’s first major arc will be ending in the upcoming 2nd issue of Weekly Shonen Jump, which will be published on 19th December 2020.
Is The Chainsaw Man Manga Ending? Final Chapter In Next Week
The manga conveys the story of a world where humans and devils both exist. These devilish creatures come in different forms, and most of them are malicious.
In this world, a clumsy and dumb teenager gets powers, making him a very dangerous fighter.
The art style of Fujimoto sensei is also very literal and funny. While transforming the hero into a “chainsaw man,” he literally adds a chainsaw to Denji’s head and arms with no thought of making it look aesthetically pleasing.
However, we all love this manga for how ‘on-your-face’ it is and hope the anime can maintain the status.
