The Kobayashi household continues to entertain us. The daily dose of occurrences has us hooked to the show and now we are pining for Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid Season 3.
We can keep watching this lovely show forever. For any comedy lover, this is a must-watch.
After making phenomenal anime like The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and K-On, Studio Kyoto Animation was searching for something to stabilize its identity.
And they struck gold when they came across this wonderful little anime.
It is great to see that the studio kept up the good work and delivered a new season that is easily on par with the former and might even surpass it.
We loved the second season dearly and we are fairly sure that you are a fan too. After all, who can resist that obvious charm?
We are all looking forward to Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid S3 and continue to enjoy our stay at the Kobayashi haven.
Between Tooru’s eccentricities and Kanna’s cuteness, fans have found themselves with high hopes for a sequel, and today we are going to talk about that.
Previously, we have also shared articles on Tokyo Revengers Season 2 and My Hero Academia Season 6 on our website and we recommend all of you to check them out.
Will there be a Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid S3?
There are 3 main factors that advocate making a sequel for an anime. They are popularity, revenue generation, and source material. Let us look at each of them.
Myanimelist is the most famous anime database. Over these, the manga is in the top 400 most popular ones. As for the anime, season one ranks 106th, and season 2 is in the top 400 as well.
This goes to show that the series is incredibly popular.
Both seasons are ranked 8/10 or above in Myanimelist and they have more than 500,000 voters. The show has a rating of 7.7 on IMDB which clearly shows how much fans are loving it.
Both Season 1 and 2 have clearly been a hit and people are loving it.
This goes on to show that the series is doing well since people are actively watching it. We expect Season 2 to earn great revenue!
Lastly, the manga content. You see, not only does this manga have over 10 volumes, it has multiple side stories of Elma, Lucoa, and so on.
Each episode covers 2 to 4 chapters and we are happy to tell you, there are more than enough chapters left to adapt.
So basically, all three factors are a thumbs up for Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid Season 3 and so, there is a big chance that the sequel will come in the future.
The announcement for Dragon Ball Super Season 2 is also pending and might be out soon.
Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid Season 3 Release Date:
First comes an announcement, then comes the release date reveal, and finally the anime is aired. As of now, Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid Season 3 has not been announced to us. But that is fine.
Season 1 came in 2017 and Season 2 has arrived in 2021. So there is no telling when the sequel arrives.
We expect Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid Season 3 to be released around July 2023, Hopefully, we will see an announcement in 2022.
Bokutachi no Remake Season 3 is supposed to be announced around the same time and we all are very excited about it.
The manga is ongoing and the creators will have to check various factors and decide when they can realistically release the anime, without jeopardizing the quality.
There is also the possibility of a movie. This is Kyoto Animation’s project. After the deadly fire that took place, there were many victims and director Yasuhiro Takemoto lost his life.
He was honored in the second season. We hope the current director continues to make the series.
We expect the sequel to have some sort of added name like season 2. Season 2 is named Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid S, where the S stands for Super Supreme Second life Starts!
So the third season will have something similar that will make it stand out more! We expect Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid Season 3 to have 12 episodes.
We expect Lantis and Heart Company to continue being the producers for the series. And hopefully, both Crunchyroll and Funimation will be licensing it.
Obviously, Kyoto Animation will continue working on this project because its style perfectly matches the content.

We expect most of the main cast to remain and keep working on the sequel.

Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid Storyline:
One day, Programmer Kobayashi opens her door to find Tooru, a dragon! Apparently, in her drunken state, Kobayashi helped the dragon and now, Tooru, who has turned into a maid, will help her out.
Automatically, other dragons get invited into the household, and thus begin a legendary tale of the most colorful characters!
In Season 2, a new dragon Ilulu appears. Initially wanting a death match with Tooru, she ends up settling for watching the daily life. And pretty soon, she gets sucked into the wild vortex of chaos and comedy that happens at the Kobayashi household.
Season 3 will probably air content from Volume 7 and 8, including chapters from the spin-off series as well as anime originals. We are very excited to see what new content arrives for us.
In fact, the somewhat long Dragon Ball Story arc from Volume 8 might just be adapted in Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid Season 3.
