The anime Mushoku Tensei is planned to be long run anime adaptation of its light novel, like ‘Sword Art Online’ and ‘DanMachi’. In a recent interview, Japanese company Egg Firm’s chairman and producer Nobuhiro Osawa revealed this important information.
The anime was planned to release in 2020, but it got delayed due to COVID-19. It finally aired on Jan 11, 2021.
The Plot and the appeal of the story
Mushoku Tensei : Jobless Reincarnation anime is based on the web novel by Rifujin na Magonote of the same name. The plot revolves around a jobless and hopeless 34 year old man who gets killed in an road accident. Reincarnated in a fantasy world as Rudeus Greyat, and also keeping his memories, he now gets tremendous magical powers. Determined to live his new life without any regrets, he vows not to repeat his past mistakes.
But despite his innocent exterior, Rudeus is still a perverted otaku, who uses the wealth of his past knowledge to make moves on women whom he could never make in his previous life.
The web novel has 24 volumes. In 2013, the author allowed his novels to be published as light novels despite continuing to publish online. The light novel’s latest release was of the digital form of the end of the 8th volume and part of the 9th, on January 21.
The viewers are giving a positive response for the show so far. Like who doesn’t want a second chance to get their life together? And what if you get magical powers on top of that! The anime is actually being called best isekai after re:Zero series.
