The manga My Dress-Up Darling (Sono Bisque Doll wa koi o suru) will be getting an anime adaptation. This was revealed in the Young Gangan magazine, where the manga is serialised.
The magazine, edited by Square Enix, did not share more details of the production, so for now we do not know its release date. However, it is most likely that it will begin airing sometime in 2022.
We will have to wait for this ninth issue of the Square Enix magazine to go on sale, next Friday, on April 16, to learn more details.
For those less familiar with the series, My Dress-Up Darling is a romantic comedy that has gained great popularity in Japan. Till now, it has already reached more than two million copies distributed.
In 2019, it became one of the most recommended manga by the Japanese, and it even took sixth place in the Tsutaya Comics Award 2020.
My Dress-Up Darling is a series written and illustrated by Shinichi Fukuda that has been published in Square Enix’s Young Gangam magazine since January 2018. It currently has 51 episodes and five published compilation volumes. The sixth will go on sale in the coming weeks.
Synopsis:
“Wakana Gojou is a kind and caring fifteen-year-old student. Left out by his classmates, he’s engrossed in one of his few obsessions: building dolls. One day he meets Marin Kitagawa, a beautiful outgoing companion, lover of video games, anime and especially cosplay.
