This chapter ends with Shigaraki firmly gripping Star and Stripe’s face after their fight. While this is the end for most people in her position, America’s number one hero might still have something up her sleeve.

It could be some kind of barrier or her body imitating the nature of something strong which resists decay.

This could give her a moment before Shigaraki’s Decay destroys her face and steals her quirk.

Her quirk in the hands of someone sinister like All for One/Shigaraki is a definite death sentence for the heroes. She may make her quirk unstealable, ruining Shigaraki’s plans.

Although she has had difficulty assigning a rule to Shigaraki before, she may be able to come up with something now that she knows about his identity crisis.

Even with all that, her chances of survival are close to none. The only help she could expect at this point is Endeavor, who was defeated by Shigaraki even before his power-up.

The only other hero who can match up to Shigaraki is resting at UA right now.

In the worst-case scenario, Star and Stripe will die, and Shigaraki will steal her quirk. According to All for One, any war after that will just be a formality.
