The official Twitter account of Weekly Shonen Jump magazine announced that chapter 289 of My Hero Academia will be on a one week break.

The chapter was supposed to be published in the 47th issue of WSJ but it will now be published in issue 48.

Chapter 289 of My Hero Academia is likely to be released on 1st November 2020.

Issue 46 of Weekly Shonen Jump had a small comment from Horikoshi regarding the chapter break.

The rough translations for the comment read: 

Thus it might be possible that the break is from Horikoshi’s side. Mangakas struggle with deadlines and tight schedules every day and their job is quite tough.

It is not a surprise that the author of MHA is going on a one week break. Especially since the plot of MHA is going through a serious arc.

Chapter 288 of My Hero Academia shows Toga disguising as an old woman and asking Uraraka for help. Uraraka does help the old lady but Toga changes back to his real self and attacks her.

Toga then confesses that she idolizes Uraraka. However, Uraraka is angry and warns Toga to stay out of her way.

Chapter 289 is likely to continue with the fight between Toga and Uraraka as their dispute still remains unsettled.
