In the last chapter, we saw the flashback just before Shigaraki stole Danger Sense from Deku. The scene starts in Vestige World and Yoichi says that this is a successor battle and they have to defeat Tomura. Nana looked conflicted. Banjo said their enemy here is Shigaraki’s regeneration. Then a giant hand appeared inside the vestige world. Shinmori sacrificed himself to save others and got absorbed by that hand.
Deku mixed Black Whip, Fa Jin, and Gearshift to use “Black Chain”, and Shigaraki used Danger Sense to dodge the attack. Then Shigaraki went for an attack while mocking Deku. Deku’s mask broke while trying to dodge the attack using the Black whip. Then the fight moved directly in front of Mount Fuji. Shigaraki said that he would honor Spinner’s wish and he would turn everything into a giant wasteland.
He then added that the destruction will start right here at the Mount Fuji. En said that he is not just a successor to All for One but he is the destruction itself. Deku prepared for an attack by covering his arm with the black whip while Shigaraki activated Danger Sense to counter.

- The chapter starts with an x-ray of Deku’s arm.
- He is using the black whip on the inside to expand his muscles.
- He then goes for another punch using Fa Jin and the wind pressure.
- Deku uses Delware Smash. Shigaraki calls Deku smart.
- He then tries to touch the ground again but notices that the cloud of dust from the previous attack hasn’t dissipated yet.
- We see multiple Black Whips and Deku comes out of it and tears Shigaraki’s arm off with a punch.
- Ever since he was hit by Nagant’s curved bullet, Deku knows that danger sense isn’t flawless.
- He starts charging Fa Jin, but Shigaraki uses Search to find him and hits him with the black tendrils.
- Deku is exhausted and Shigaraki also notices that.
- Shigaraki then mocks Deku and says that he has too much to protect he can’t focus on fighting.
- Deku then says that he will not give up on that little crying boy while trying to kick Shigaraki.
- Shigaraki then starts a speech and says that everyone sees the world through their lens and always tries to assign meaning to what they don’t understand.
- Deku is doing the same thing to him.
- Deku has some internal talk and the users tell him that he can not save Shigaraki. Some people can not be saved.
- Deku says that this is not the solution and it is not that simple.
- If it was that simple, Shigaraki wouldn’t remember all the suffering from his past.
- Kudou then talks about how he accepted Deku after looking at his memories and that he never gave up on anyone.
- Deku always wanted to believe in their goodness.

- The last page is a flashback to All Might saying he can become a hero.
