Episode 2 Recap:
Before we get started with the Boku no Hero Academia Season 5 Episode 3, let’s take a recap of the last episode.
In the hospital, an injured Endeavor recalls how he and Hawks were about to be attacked by Dabi, only to be intercepted by Hero Mirko, who saved them. Dabi warped away, telling Endeavor not to die!
Dabi and Hawks meet secretly. Hawks is immediately hostile, asking Dabi why he wasn’t made aware of the powers of the High end Nomu! Dabi counters by saying that Hawks had brought along the Number 1 hero, instead of some no name person.
Hawks explains that Endeavor’s public relations have taken a hit and then Dabi explains that he doesn’t trust Hawks. Dabi asks why Hawks didn’t allow much civilian casualty, to which Hawks says that he wants to protect his image. Dabi is skeptical about Hawks joining the League of Villains.
They part ways and Hawks remembers his past – how the Public Safety Commission trained him and turned him into spy. Following this, he visits Endeavor at the hospital. Meanwhile, Dabi remembers Hero Snatch’s defeat. Apparently, he had forgotten all about Snatch.
Next day, Endeavor gets out of the hospital alongside Dabi. They talk about the danger of the High End Nomus. After parting, Hawks recalls how he wants to get his hands dirty to protect the peace of others. He agrees to turn into a spy and join the league.
Endeavor returns home to Fuyumi, Natsuo and Shoto. He is still trying to make amends to them. Fuyumi has forgiven him but the two boys are not so warm. Still, Shoto sees the effort his father is putting in and keeps an open mind. Natsuo is having a harder time accepting all of this.
Deku is exhausted from quirk training and he passes into sleep. In his dream, he finds himself in a space; his limbs are covered but he can see the vestiges of the former users of One for All, including the first user, and Nana Shimura. He then sees an old event.
All for One is a villain who can give and take quirks. He helps people and makes them into his pawns. His younger brother is against this and begs him to stop his exploits.
All for One disagrees and tries to give a quirk to his brother. The vision ends the Deku meets the first user who says that this is the most Deku can handle!
