My Hero Academia Vigilante is a prequel series by Kohei Horikoshi. It packs the same punch as the original series but with a darker tinge to it. However, both My Hero Academia and the prequel manga are soon to meet their respective finales.

Set before the events of My Hero Academia, this series follows a group of people known as the “Vigilantes.” Unlike professional heroes, vigilantes don’t have a certified license to fight crime.

But driven by their passion to make the world a better place, they jump into the battle against the villains anyway.

It has been revealed by Shonen Jump+ that My Hero Academia: Vigilantes is heading towards its conclusion soon.

With just a few volumes to go, the manga serialized in Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ is all set to receive its final story arc. The release date of the next chapter is not yet announced.

Recently, Shonen Jump+ made all the chapters of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes free to read to commemorate the series reaching 100 chapters.

While this spin-off is coming to an end, fans should not be disappointed as a lot of MHA action is still to follow! The anime based on the original manga is currently airing its fifth season, and a movie is all set to be released in August!

With so many things happening in the My Hero Academia Universe, fans are in for a real treat! Considering the popularity of the Vigilantes spin-off manga, we may see an anime adaptation pretty soon.

About My Hero Academia

My Hero Academia is a Japanese superhero manga series written and illustrated by Kōhei Horikoshi. It has been serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump since July 2014, with its chapters additionally collected in 24 tankōbon volumes as of August 2019.

It follows a quirkless boy Izuku Midoriya and how he backed the greatest Hero alive. Midoriya, a boy who has been admiring heroes and their ventures since the day he was born, came into this world without a quirk.

On one fateful day, he meets All Might the greatest Hero of all time and discovers that he was quirkless as well. With his diligent attitude and unwavering spirit about being a hero, Midoriya manages to impress All Might. He is chosen to be the heir to the power of One for All.
