My Hero Academia Zooms Past 50 Million Copies Milestone as Volume 30 Hits the Market!!

My Hero Academia, with its heroes vs. villains narrative, has always been a prime example of shounen manga. Now, the manga has managed to cross the circulation milestone that very few series can attain!

The manga has already reached its concluding arc, and with each chapter, the story is getting more intense. My Hero Academia anime’s fifth season is currently airing, and the manga sales have gotten yet another boost!

The My Hero Academia manga has crossed 50 million copies in circulation! The sales figure includes both printed and digital copies. The anime’s massive success is contributing to the sales, and it proves that the manga itself is very much in demand.

This is not the first time the series has hit a milestone, and neither does it look like the last time. The 30th volume of the manga has just been released, and the total sale in Japan alone is 37 million. Outside of Japan, My Hero Academia has sold around 13 million copies.

Shueisha has opened a fantastic new website to commemorate the circulation of the 30th volume. The website reveals memories from the seven years of journey with My Hero Academia. A manga panel with voiced dialogues is also released!

Shueisha has claimed 2021 as My Hero Academia’s year, and it is turning out to be true! On top of the manga crossing a milestone, the anime’s fifth season started airing on 27th March, and the anime movie is headed for an August premiere!

How much more potential does the manga have? Will it be able to cross another milestone with its next volume release? With only a few more chapters left till the manga ends, the hype around the series is definitely on a rise!

About My Hero Academia

My Hero Academia is a Japanese superhero manga series written and illustrated by Kōhei Horikoshi. It has been serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump since July 2014, with its chapters additionally collected in 24 tankōbon volumes as of August 2019.

It follows a quirkless boy Izuku Midoriya and how he backed the greatest Hero alive. Midoriya, a boy who has been admiring heroes and their ventures since the day he was born, came into this world without a quirk.

On one fateful day, he meets All Might the greatest Hero of all time and discovers that he was quirkless as well. With his diligent attitude and unwavering spirit about being a hero, Midoriya manages to impress All Might. He is chosen to be the heir to the power of One for All.
