Naruto Takes Over Fortnite in Game’s First Collaboration with an Anime
Even though the story of Naruto has already ended, it is one of the few omnipresent anime that have managed to integrate themselves into pop culture. Even the people who don’t watch anime recognize the face and know what Naruto run is.
The iconic running style has conquered the world and has even made its way into Fortnite as an emote. Now, the franchise is making its presence more apparent in the most popular battle royale game on the planet.
Epic Games’ Fortnite has announced a collaboration with Naruto Shippūden anime on their official Twitter account. The announcement tweet includes Naruto’s catchphrase “Believe It” and November 16, 2021 date.
Since the game’s release in 2017, it has had several collaborations with popular franchises like Street Fighter, Star Wars, God of War, and most notably, Marvel. Surprisingly, this is the game’s first collaboration with an anime.
Despite that, this one has the potential to surpass all the others that came before it. The game’s season 6 collaboration with the NFL, helped them generate over 50 million USD in revenue through skin sales.
It is hardly optimistic to assume that Naruto-themed skins will blow past that number while bringing new eyes to the game.
Special locations might also be integrated into the arenas, such as the Hokage Rock or the Final Valley. We just might get Rasengan and Chidori as usable attacks too.
Revive Naruto’s Six Paths Sage Mode with New DLC for Shinobi Striker Game
This collaboration will arrive just in time for Fortnite‘s update releasing the latest major content patch, including creative mode changes and a new EXP system.
Don’t be surprised if players start to spam the Naruto run emote in their new skins.
