Netflix Brings Back ‘Terminator’ Franchise to Create an Original Anime Series

You may be surprised to know that it’s not the first time we will see the T-800 robot on the anime silver screen. The time-travelling robot made its first official anime cameo in the Doraemon television anime series in June 2009.

Six films, two web series, one TV series, comic, novel, and game adaptations have left behind enough scope for the anime to fit anywhere in the storyline and open up an entirely new dimension to the parent franchise.

We are already aware of the franchise’s overwhelming success in the past decades, and now I am looking forward to knowing how its anime adaptation lives up to the expectations.

What do you think will it shape the future of the anime industry just like it did to Hollywood?

About Terminator

Terminator is a world-famous sci-fi franchise that revolves around the iconic T-800 robot. The deadly weapon from the future has been both the antagonist and protagonist in the various Terminator projects since the first film in 1984.

Everything started with James Cameron and Gale Anne Hurd in 1984. The first film sees Arnold Schwarzenegger play the villainous robot from 2029 who came to the past to kill Sarah Connor, thus stopping human resistance to a machine uprising.
