Netflix Promises Mary’s Journey with Kakegurui Twin Spin-off in August 2022

Yumeko Jabami might have won your heart with her insane gambling skills, but her very first opponent, Mari Saotome, also deserves some love and attention.

Well, the Kakegurui creators know just what we want as the new Kakegurui Twins spin-off anime, based on Mary, will premiere next year.

Yes, the gambling-crazed students of Kakegurui will inspire yet another series, and we will receive another round of pure adrenaline rush.

The Kakegurui Twins spin-off manga will receive an anime adaptation in August 2022 on Netflix. None other than MAPPA will be animating the spin-off, so rest assured, it will take mere seconds before you are hopelessly hooked onto the anime.

Whereas Yumeko Jabami had made her presence known as soon as she had entered the academy, Mary Saotome’s path to fame was slow and steady.

Coming from an ordinary family, she had a lot more to lose than others, yet she turned the tables and became a power to be reckoned with.

The second person in the visual is Tsuzura Hanatamari, who helps save Mary when she is on the verge of becoming a housepet.

Kakegurui Twin has also inspired an eight-episode live-action series that premiered in March 2021. The manga is licensed by Yen Press in English.

Minami Tanaka will reprise her role as Mary’s voice actor in the upcoming anime. Some new characters will also be added to the ensemble.

Kakegurui Twin will finally highlight Mary and her struggles in the infamous academy where gambling is the lifeblood.

A lot will happen in the single year before Yumeko’s admission and I can’t wait to see Mary’s progress from a newbie to a complete queen.

Hyakkaou Private Academy, a regular school for ultra-rich kids by day and a grotesque gambling den by night, has an inbuilt social hierarchy.
