New Episode of Dropkick on My Devil! Is Coming in the Winter of 2023
Jashin-chan Dropkick or Dropkick on My Devil! is well-known for the comic violence that occurs when Jashin-chan tries to murder her summoner. It becomes a running farce when she inevitably fails and is mutilated for her trouble.
The crowdfunded anime has completed three seasons, and further OVAs and a fourth season are in the works.
On Friday, a preview for a spinoff episode of Dropkick on My Devil! was released on the show’s official website. This episode will show on BS NTV during the winter of 2023 and is titled Jashin-chan Dropkick: Seikimatsu-hen (Dropkick on My Devil -End of the Century).
Some of these occurrences from the past are depicted in the video. The brand-new image made available for the episode is then displayed.
The city of Takamori in the prefecture of Kumamoto worked together on the animation. Jashin-chan follows the stars’ direction to Takamori for an appointment. In the episode, Yurine plays the role of a terrible king of Jinbocho, a city that is wiped out by a meteor.
Studio Makaria is responsible for the animation of this episode.
Despite the lack of updates, season four is probably already in production. The season’s crowdfunding campaign raised its goal of 30,000,000 JPY in under 35 minutes.
It ended with 115 million yen, which is reportedly the most ever raised in Japan for an animated film.
Not everyone will enjoy Jashin-chan, but I’m happy that there will be more episodes to enjoy in the future. All of the characters had interesting quirks and nuances that made them stand out. The show has kept its sense of humor and has never seemed annoying, even when it has gone a little too far.
Dropkick on My Devil!
Yukiwo creates the manga series Dropkick on My Devil! for Japanese readers. In April of 2012, Flex Comix’s Comic Meteor web magazine began serializing the comic. In 2018, it was made into an anime series.
Yurine Hanazono, a student witch, calls forth the demon lamia Jashin. In order to get back to hell, Jashin either tries to kill Yurine (but fails) or spends the day with her and other demons and angels from both realms.
