New Faces Joining The Cast Of YOU Season Three

The cast of Netflix’s YOU is getting an update with two new actors joining the highly anticipated third season of the show. Shalita Grant, known for her role in NCIS: New Orleans as Lieutenant Sonja Percy, will play the role of Sherry, a ‘Mom-fluencer’ whose deceptive down-to-earth nature hides her true mean-girl streak. She invites Love into her suburban social circle. Travis Van Winkle, the other new face, will play Cary, a wealthy man who invites Joe into his inner circle.

The last time we saw our favourite sociopath/heartthrob Joe Goldberg, a big change was coming in his life. The second season closed with a montage where it was shown that Joe was moving to the suburbs of Los Angeles along with Love, who was pregnant with his child. The third season will focus on their suburban life, so the new characters will possibly play an essential role in shaping up the story.

Penn Badgeley and Victoria Pedretti are reprising their roles as Joe Goldberg and Love Quinn. Jenna Ortega is scheduled to return as Jenny, Joe’s fifteen-year-old neighbor whose life was turned upside down last season because of his actions. It is not known whether Ambyr Childers, who played Candace Stone, Joe’s vengeful ex-girlfriend, will come back in the third season.

In the last season, Joe met his match in Love, but it remains to be seen whether he will answer for the many murders he committed. Will fatherhood finally put a stop to his murderous instincts? Or will he bite the dust in an unlucky encounter?

Season three might contain some answers. Although no official date has been announced for its premiere, it is expected to drop sometime in 2021.

Catch up on the first two seasons of YOU before the third one drops; both seasons are available to stream on Netflix.
