The first season starts with them being in a game and beating over a hundred opponents while the two operate four accounts. Seeing their ability to game and the track record of no losses, a “God” from another world where gaming is everything challenges to a game of Chess and even though it’s a god figure, he still lost thus acknowledging this team of brother and sister.
They soon get summoned or teleported to a world where every matter is solved by games. This new world is like a heaven to these siblings and thus starts their quest to world domination and once they defeat all the races of that world, they get the right to challenge the God of disboard named “Teto”.
Will there be a second season of No Game No Life?
Most of the times, it’s a hard question to answer but in the case of No Game No Life, it’s a very easy one. There are 100% chances of it getting a sequel sometime soon.
Even though there has been no announcement for a second season just like Dragon Ball Super Season 2, it’s very obvious that a second season is in works behind the scene and will be announced soon.
No Game No Life anime is based on a light novel by the same name. According to Wikipedia, by 2017 over 3 million copies of the light novel were in circulation and we are sure that the anime release must have boosted the novel’s popularity.
By now, there are 10 volumes of the light novel and two manga series were serialized from those novels.
On 27 July 2013, the anime for No Game No Life was announced and then it was directed and animated by Madhouse.
The first episode of season one was aired on April 9th 2014 and the final episode premiered on June 25, 2014. It’s been six years and a second season is overdue.

For now, as we know no announcement has been made for a second season. But according to the news floating the Internet, No Game No Life Season 2 release date will be most likely around October 2021.
The second season will also be animated by Madhouse and most likely have 10-12 episodes and then coupled with some late 2-3 episode OVA release.
To those who don’t know, there is a movie called No Game No Life: Zero that premiered on July 15,2017. So if you have not watched the movie yet, go watch it. The movie is anime adaptation of the six novel.
The first season of the NGNL series covered the first three light novel volumes, so we can expect the second season to most probably cover the fourth and fifth volume since the six has been animated into a movie.
2021 is surely going to be the year much popular anime returns for a second season, Tower Of God Season 2, and Gleipnir Season 2 are set to release in 2021 as well.
What will happen in No Game No Life Second Season?
The first season of the anime ended on Sora and Shiro winning against the warbeasts and creating the commonwealth of Elkia. Sora’s dream is bring all the sixteen races under the commonwealth of Elkia and only then he can challenge Teto.
The second season will focus on Sora and Shiro making their way to different kingdoms and challenging them for their race piece. Even the second season will not cover the match against God Teto, we will have to wait for a third season for that.
Since, no confirmed release date has been announced, no trailer is out for the second season as well.
