Nostalgia Blast Incoming! Final Fantasy IX Set for An Anime Adaptation!
Nothing is too bad about a blast from the past, especially when it is from one of the greatest playstation games of all time. Soon, you will get to experience Final Fantasy IX in a new form.
No gaming franchise popularized RPGs like Final Fantasy. With 15 iterations to date, it is one of the most beloved game franchises in history ever since its release back in 1987.
Naturally, the game’s popularity spawned a lot of adaptations in different mediums like manga, films, and even anime. So now, it reimagines one of the most beloved games from the franchise.
Final Fantasy IX is set to be adapted into an anime. The series will be co-produced by Square Enix and French-based Cyber Group Studios. The production for the series will begin by the end of 2021 or early 2022.
The anime adaptation is set to be aimed towards 8 to 13-year-olds. This will probably act as an introduction for many young people who were not there when the game originally came out. While the demographic may be young, it is safe to assume that some old fans might join in too.
Unlike its predecessors, Final Fantasy IX is set in a medieval world with humans, humanoids, and other fictional races. The story revolves around Zidane, a thief who kidnaps the princess of Alexandria and then teams up with her in order to protect the kingdom from evil forces.
Is The Smash-hit Genshin Impact Game Getting An Anime Adaptation?
Anime adaptations of games have certainly been somewhat of a rise lately. Be it Danganronpa, Castlevania, or more recently Scarlet Nexus, their plots seem to fit in perfectly with the anime medium.
Among fans and critics alike, Final Fantasy IX is probably the best game in the whole franchise. While the fans are begging for a remake of this old classic, the upcoming anime adaptation will probably cool that fire down.
Pretty soon, more people will come to know the masterpiece that is Final Fantasy IX.
