Oda has announced a one-month break that starts this week. According to Oda, this one-month break is to prepare for the last saga starting with One Piece 1054.
The Wano arc is near its end. We never got past the third act but now we know that it is concluding after Act 3, on One Piece 1053. It has been a huge arc with so many ups and downs. We fans can’t wait to see what is up next for us.
As an arc, Wano was far from perfect. Most fans believed that it could have been the top 3 arcs in One Piece. However, the ending was completely underwhelming.
The payoff was far too low and the anticlimactic ending has many fans unsatisfied.
But then again, many fans are happy about moving on to the final arc. If this final arc turns out to be good, then the series will be seen in a whole new light and the damage from Wano can be repaired.
So let us get to the news about the upcoming delay.
One Piece 1054 Delayed
With the end of Wano in Chapter 1053, Oda sensei will be taking a 1 month’s break and thus One Piece Chapter 1054 has been delayed. Starting from 27th June 2022, it will last all the way up to 25th July 2022.
In this time, Oda sensei will be making his final touches to the story of the final saga.
He needs time to work out the best possible routes for writing the new saga. Although, at this point, we do not know if it will be a saga or an arc. He says that he will revise the story and come up with the best execution.
In this One Piece Chapter 1054 one-month gap, we will not be sitting empty-handed. The four issues of Jump will come with a small booklet called Road to Laugh Tale.
It will have Oda sensei’s manuscripts that never had the chance to occur in the main story.
The story so far
The Wano arc is about to end. Momo has become the new Shogun and he has the best advisors to help him govern the nation. Wano will still keep its borders closed for a while.
Oden’s wish to open them will have to wait just a little bit longer.
The world government is in serious turmoil. The balance of power in this world has shifted quite a bit. With the fall of two emperors, things will get very chaotic in the world.
But that can wait a bit. Right now, Luffy and the Strawhats will dive into a nationwide feast. It is time for celebrations. Wano is free after 20 years.
But how long will this last? Admiral Ryokugyu is coming to Wano. What will he do?
Discussion After One Piece 1054:
So what can we expect from this final saga? Our short-term goal is to see what the Admiral does. We know him to be a friend of Fujitora. This means he probably is not that bad a person.
However, he still is a marine and the government still wants Nico Robin. We would like to see how much damage Ryokugyu does.
As for the long-term goals, we have so much to find out. We want an Elbaf arc. We want things with Shanks to be settled.
We want to know the mysteries of the series – about Vegapunk, Marine’s final plan, Laugh Tale, the Void Century, Im-sama and so much more is to be revealed.
And then there is Blackbeard – we want to see the final confrontation with the main villain of the series. Luffy vs Blackbeard should be the best of battles and we are so hyped for it.
Basically, we expect this final arc to be packed with infinite punches. It has so much to reveal and hopefully, the answers will satisfy us all.
