With Kaidou defeated, the war is over and Wano will have a new Shogun. I don’t think there’s a better candidate for it than Kozuki Oden’s son.

Yes, Kozuki Oden’s son or the Shogun of Wano, Kozuki Momonosuke.

One Piece’s chapter 1051 is filled with heavy emotions as the people of Wano get to know of their liberation after 20 torturous years. Kaidou’s reign of terror is finally over, and it took so much time and sacrifice that it still feels unreal.

Coming back to Momonosuke, who would have imagined that the funny-looking kid would one day become Wano’s Shogun?

There’s not a single fan out there who isn’t crying and being super proud of Momonosuke after this chapter. He proved himself as a worthy leader by his actions, and his words were full of hope and promise.

It will be hard for anyone to take him down as he’s now a formidable force with the entirety of Wano, Straw Hats, and the Nine Red Scabbards behind him (I know I’m not the only one ugly crying right now).

Speaking of Straw Hats, they just recruited a new member to their crew, and it’s none other than Yamato.

At first, she was met with some reluctance from some members due to Yamato being Kaidou’s kid. But as they found out that she had been fighting on their side all along, she received a warm and enthusiastic welcome.

I’m pretty sure that Oda has something better planned for the upcoming arc, and I can’t wait to see what he does to top the Wano arc.

But knowing him, there is no way we’ll ever know what goes on in Oda’s mind. So let’s use this time to prepare ourselves mentally for what’s about to come (not that we’ll ever be ready for whatever he throws at us).

About One Piece

One Piece is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda. It has been serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine since July 22, 1997.

The man who had acquired everything in this world, the Pirate King, is Gol D. Roger. The final words he said at the execution tower were “My treasures? If you want it, I’ll let you have it. Look for it; I left all of it at that place.” These words sent many to the seas, chasing their dreams, headed toward the Grand Line, in search of One Piece. Thus began a new age!

Seeking to be the greatest pirate in the world, young Monkey D. Luffy also heads toward the Grand Line in search of One Piece. His diverse crew is joining him along the way, consisting of a swordsman, marksman, navigator, cook, doctor, archaeologist, and cyborg-shipwright, this will be one memorable adventure.
