One Piece Manga Goes on Hiatus; Speculations Regarding Upcoming Chapter!
One Piece has been a part of both childhood and adulthood for a lot of people, considering the fact that it has been going on for years.
This manga which seems never-ending, is so well written that even after 1000+ chapters, you still can’t get enough of it.
However, there is one thing that has been very persistent for the past few years. The manga has been going on too many weekly breaks, and it is here with yet another one.
One Piece manga is going on a break next week. It will resume with Chapter 1014 in Weekly Shonen Jump’s Issue #26.
There are speculations about the mangaka Eiichiro Oda not being well. His health has been deteriorating, and that’s why he requires breaks frequently.
The manga has been on hiatus frequently in the past few years, so much so that the fans have gotten used to it.
But just because we’re used to it doesn’t mean we don’t get sad every time Oda and One Piece go on a break. 🙁
The manga has been released until Chapter 1012, which was released on May 7th. Chapter 1013 will be released this week on Friday, that is, May 14th.
After this, the manga will be going on a break and make its comeback in Weekly Shonen Jump’s Issue #26.
15 Strongest Characters at the End of One Piece – Ranked!
The next installment of the manga, Chapter 1013, is titled ‘Anarchy in the Big Mom.’ The title is pretty self-explanatory, but it still leaves much room for speculation.
As we all know, Oda likes to take his fans by surprise and do something completely different from what the fan theories suggest.
As a fan once commented that ‘Oda really doesn’t want anyone predicting his story. Like he took it personally.’ This single comment pretty much summarises just how unpredictable Oda can get.
The recent chapters have been vaguely based on Greek mythology with characters such as Zeus, Hera, and Prometheus. This again leaves us with a lot to speculate.
Will some story from popular mythology play out? Will there be a surprise new character? Will Oda add some crazy twist to a classic Greek tale?
We do not know any of that for sure, and all we can do is sit patiently and wait for the next chapter. *no, we are not okay with it*
According to the editor-in-chief of the Weekly Shonen Jump, Kohei Onishi, the One Piece manga will be going on for another good 4-5 years.
Now that is one huge manga *phew*.
This is just good news for fans who have been reading it since day one and aren’t exactly ready to accept the fact that it might end one day.
Anyway, until the next chapter comes out, I suggest you relax and engage in other activities to keep yourself busy till then.
Eat a fruit maybe, but not the one with weird markings on it, okay?
Will Luffy Die at the End of One Piece’s Story?
