The drama is an adaptation of a light novel with the same name. The writer of the novel was Kugane Maruyama. This novel was published in the year 2010 and he also gave illustrations for it. The novel is still running with a total of 14 published volumes to date. Maruyama confirmed that there will be a total of 17 volumes of this novel.

And in the year 2014, Satoshi Oshio adapted the novel into the manga along with Hugin Miyama. The serialization of this manga was done in Kadokawa Shoten’s magazine on 26^th November 2014. The manga was later created as anime television series by Madhouse for three consecutive seasons. Each season consisted of a total of 13 episodes.

Overlord Season 4 Release Date

The release date for season 4 is not still not announced by the officials. In the AnimagiC convention in 2019, which was held in Germany the show director and scriptwriter were guests of honor. When asked about season 4 of the show they said that surely there will be season four and they also started working on it. The production of the show was delayed due to the corona pandemic. However, the good news is there will be season 4 of the show. Most likely we will know about the details of release by the end of 2021.

 What to Expect From Season 4?

Each season of Overload till now covered three volumes of the novel. We are also aware that there is a total of 14 volumes, so five of them are remaining to be covered. The title of volume 10 is “The Ruler Of Conspiracy”. It follows the story of Ainz and his decision to turn his kingdom into a paradise. The tenth volume of the novel also tells us about the story of other rulers. Other rulers are quite jealous of Ainz, and his emerging kingdom. So they all try to destroy Ainz utopia.

The 11^th volume is titled “The Craftsman of Dwarf”. Here in this volume, we see Ainz is heading towards the Dwarf Kingdom to search for rune magic. Shelter and Aura are his companions on this journey. After reaching there he finds out that there is already a battle going on between Dwarf and Quagoa. Dwarf Runesmith promises to help him once the battle is over.

The 12^th volume is titled “The Paladin of the Holy Kingdom”. It shows the attack of the demon emperor, Jaldabaoth. They somehow manage to break the Great Wall of the Holy Kingdom. It was the pride of the Holy Kingdom’s defense. These demons seek to destroy the other kingdoms. And there begins the battle between demon Emperor and Ainz.
