OWN’s David Makes Man Adds Ten to Cast of Second Season
The Oprah Winfrey Network has announced a few updates regarding the second season of David Makes Man. Ten actors are joining the cast as recurring characters who will play key roles in the life of the now-adult David. Production for the second season began in October and the new season is expected to release in summer 2021.
The second season will focus on David, who is now in his thirties and is a rising businessman. During the season, he will be faced with an opportunity that will change him and his community. He will have to choose between the survival instincts that carried him for so many years or find a truly new way to live.
Kwame Patterson has been cast as the adult David in season two. He will be joined by Tony Plana, Brittany. S. Hall, Erica Lutrell, Zsanè Jhè, Bobbi Baker, Patrice Arenas, Trinity Cidel, Brandi Huzzie, Rodney Gardiner, and Janmarco Santiago.
Tony Plana will be playing Joel Padilla, a real estate developer, who brings David the massive opportunity that is the central issue in the second season. Brittany. S. Hall will be seen as Nicole, an architect, and David’s love interest.
In addition, award-winning director Kiel Adrian Scott is returning to the position of director and will helm five episodes in the new season.
The first season of David Makes Man is available to stream on HBO Max.
