Peacock Cancels Brave New World After First Season
Brave New World will not be coming back to Peacock with a second season. The dystopian drama, which premiered on the network in July 2020, has been canceled after its first season but there still might be hope for a new season. The announcement regarding the cancellation has just been released, so not much is known about the specifics behind it.
It is possible that very few watched the show. It was released with virtually no publicity, which means not many people were aware of it. It cannot be known for sure since Peacock does not reveal viewership statistics.
Brave New World had a very fascinating plot. Based on the Aldous Huxley classic novel of the same name, the series told the story of a utopian society that has prohibited monogamy, privacy, money, family and history. Adding to the novel’s story, the series introduces a wireless network called Indra that connects all the citizens.
The show starred Jessica Findlay, Harry Lloyd, Alden Ehrenreich, Hannah John-Kamen and Joseph Morgan.
Although Brave New World will not continue on Peacock anymore, the producers have expressed their desire to ship the series to other networks and services. If Brave New World does get picked up by a different network and the numbers are adequate, there might be a second season of the intriguing world created by Aldous Huxley.
The first season of Brave New World is available to stream on Peacock Premium.
