Peaky Blinders Creator Teases What’s Next for the Shelby Family!

It’s been a decade since Peaky Blinders first captivated us with the epic tale of Tommy Shelby and his gang, which concluded its sixth and final season in 2022.

Fans will be overjoyed to know that creator Steven Knight has teased something fascinating for the series.

A movie is in the works to give a proper ending to the epic saga, and it could start filming later this year.

Knight dropped something interesting on his X account as Peaky Blinders celebrated ten years of its debut by airing its pilot on BBC Two. Read on to find out!

In the tweet, Knight assures fans that the show has more to offer and urges them to “watch this space.”

This has come after he teased that Peaky Blinders will continue beyond the aforesaid movie in years to come.

The Peaky Blinders movie will go beyond the original vision of Knight, who wanted to portray the Shelby clan’s saga from World War I to World War II.

Instead, the film will take the audience to the heart of the Second World War, where Tommy will face his nemesis, the fascist leader Oswald Mosley. The movie could show how Tommy plays a crucial role in bringing down Mosley and his British Union of Fascists, who were arrested and disbanded in 1940.

However, this episode may not mark the end of the historical drama. Knight hinted in July this year that there are more plans after the upcoming film, sparking hopes for several spinoffs.

So, Fans are wondering if these potential Peaky Blinders spinoffs will focus on Ada Shelby, played by Sophie Rundle, or Tommy’s distant son Duke. Either way, it will take us deeper into the Shelby family and its twisted secrets.

Knight’s cryptic teases promise many more adventures in the world of Thomas Shelby.

Hopefully, it won’t be long before the Peaky Blinders movie is officially confirmed, and fans can get a hint of other projects that will follow!
