Police in A Pod Reveals January 2022 Premiere with New PV
Although the police comedy genre has quite a presence in the west, it has been a while since we got one in anime. Well, the upcoming Police in a Pod anime is here to fill that gap and will make you fall in love with the genre once again.
The manga is already very successful, with more than 2 million copies in circulation and winning this year’s Shogakukan Manga Award in the general category. To add to that, Madhouse will be producing the anime, and they have decided to give us a peek.
The official website for Police in a Pod anime has released a promotional video. The anime will be released in January 2022.
This PV begins with Kawai reflecting on how she became a police officer. She is tired of all the things she has to put up with and decides to quit the force until she encounters Seiko Fuji.
The PV also announced the additional cast for the anime.

Riko Azuna performs the opening theme for the anime “Sharanakiya” (I Gotta Know). The ending theme “Change” is being performed by nonoc.
The story revolves around Kawai, a novice police officer, and her superior Fuji, who is a former detective who was demoted to her current position. They join forces to fight crime in the Okajima prefecture while messing up here and there.
Award Winning Manga Police in a Pod Releases PV for Exciting 2022 Anime
Manga’s accolades and the success of the live-action adaptation have raised the anticipation for the anime already. With the Madhouse at the helm, it will probably live up to it.

Hakozume is a manga series by Miko Yasu. Kodansha has serialized the in the Morning magazine since 2017. Its English name is “Packed Up: A Police Box Woman’s Counterattack.”
It is a seinen manga about two female police officers who form a duo. It is the birth of the duo who keep the Okajima Prefectural Police’s male team on their toes.
The quirky team will prove their teamwork and make sure that crime doesn’t cross paths with them.
