Pompo: The Cinéphile Unveils New PV: DUSTCELL, EMA and Kaf for The Tracks!

ALL CINEMA-LOVERS, ASSEMBLE!!! Pompo-San: The Cinéphile, is coming to show you how the cinema industry works, and trust me, you HAVE to see this! 

Ever really wondered how the movie industry works? What happens behind the big screen? We all have thought about this at some point in our lives. Some of us even picked filmography as a field to work in because of this curiosity.

And now Pompo-San is here to tell you all about it!

Pompo: The Cinéphile released its brand new PV introducing us to its fantastic soundtrack and a new cast member for its June 4th premiere.

The trailer shows us all the characters one by one as their monologue plays in the background.

The best part comes when ‘We The Rebels’ (Hangyakusha no Bokura) by DUSTCELL’S vocalist EMA starts playing, and the trailer gives out a really energetic and ambitious feel.

The trailer then plays ‘Tatoeba’ (For Example) by the singer Kaf and picks up a more pumped-up beat. Both the songs really are just brilliant pieces of work.

The franchise also revealed an animated music video for the song Tatoeba (For Example) by Kaf.

And in “#Movie Love Pompo-san,” the original character of the movie,

Jean’s high school classmate Alan (CV: #Ryuichi Kijima)

@maKijimaRyuichi ) Will appear.

We are also introduced to the movie-original character of Alan Gardner, played by Ryūichi Kijima. Alan is a bank clerk at the Nyallywood Bank and Gene Fini’s former high-school classmate.

Kijima has also voiced the character of Mitsuki in Boruto: Naruto Next Generation.

Shingo Adachi, responsible for the character design, made an original illustration for the film’s soundtrack featuring all the artists.

A special collaboration between KAMITSUBAKI STUDIO artists such as KAF, EMA, and CIEL, who sing songs, and #Pompo.

The illustration features EMA, Kaf, and CIEL, who performed the theme song of the film and the character of Joelle Davidovich “Pompo” Pomponette. 

The movie was scheduled for 2020 but was delayed to March 19, 2021, due to the pandemic. After that, it was again delayed due to the new coronavirus and is currently scheduled for June 4, 2021.

The movie was announced back in October 2020, along with the cast and staff, and all of us have been excited ever since.

This movie is for everyone who loves the cinema and its beauty, especially for those trying to make a career in filmmaking.

About Pompo: The Cinéphile

Pompo: The Cinephile is an upcoming anime film under studio CLAP. Sugitani released the original manga on the pixiv website starting in 2017.

The film is set in the fictional film industry of “Nyallywood”. Gene Fini is an aspiring producer who works under Pompo who is a talented movie producer.

Pompo hasn’t been having much success with her recent films. When Gene stumbles across a script by Pompo, he marvels at it.

Pompo places the responsibility for the new film on Gini. How will this movie which has a lot of rookie dreams entangled with it turn out?
