The series follows the quest of the X-Laws to find Marcos and also explores the “Flower of Maize” story arc from the original manga. While fans are eagerly waiting for the next chapter, there is a recent piece of news will upset them.

Kodansha’s Shonen Magazine Edge announced that the manga “Shaman King: Marcos” will be on hiatus till June 17.

Kodansha Shonen Magazine Edge announced that the derived series, Shaman King: Marcos, by Jet Kusamura, will go on hiatus due to the worsening of the author’s tenosynovitis and is scheduled to return in the next issue of the magazine on June 17.

Currently, the author is undergoing treatment for tenosynovitis and will take around a month to fully recover. Tenosynovitis is a medical condition where the synovium surrounding a tendon undergoes inflammation. It can lead to severe swelling and pain in the joints.

Health issues are not very rare in the entertainment industry. Often, content creators neglect their health which leads to severe consequences. Earlier in the month, Kenji Inoue, the author of “Grand Blue Dreaming,” was hospitalized after he complained of severe back pain.

The original Shaman King manga was serialized between 1998 and 2004. An anime adaptation aired back in 2001-02. A reboot series of the anime premiered earlier this year.

Shaman King is a manga written and illustrated by Hiroyuki Takei. It began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump from June 30, 1998.

The series received an abrupt end on August 30, 2004, leaving fans disappointed.

The manga received a reprint in 2009 to give its fans the true ending to the series. It also received an adaptation by studio Xebec in 2001 that was directed by Seiji Mizushima.

It introduces us to a world of shamans. These Shamans are powerful beings who can see and communicate with spirits, ghosts, and gods.

Once in 500 years, a prestigious tournament called The Shaman Fight is organized, and the winner gets to shape the world in his image with the aid of the great spirits. The story revolves around Manta Oyamada, who has a chance encounter with You Asakura that completely changes his life. Asakura aims to become the Shaman King, aided by Manta and his 600-year-old samurai friend Amidamaru. They set out to fulfill You’s dream.
