About Poupelle of Chimney Town
Poupelle of Chimney Town by Akihiro Nishino is an intricately woven children’s book.
In a town surrounded by tall walls, the sky is not visible due to the smoke that comes out from the uncountable chimneys.
On the day of Halloween, a deliveryman drops a heart which he was supposed to deliver. Unable to find it, he gave up and went back, but the heart kept thumping in a pile of trash.
A trashman emerged from the heart and began his own adventure as he found an unexpected friend in the town.
