Psychological Drama Beastars Manga Concludes in October 2020
Beastars manga series has a unique take on the relationship between predators and their prey. Paru Itagaki’s manga takes place in a world where animals live in a civilized environment similar to humans in reality.
The story of Beastars is an emotional rollercoaster. It portrays animals, but surprisingly, does a fantastic job of depicting human drama.
The manga succeeds in narrating the real-world issues such as discrimination, crime, and societal pressures, by drawing parallels between our reality and the world of Beastars.
Through her Twitter account, Mangaka Paru Itagaki confirmed that the Beastars manga series would end in three chapters, with Chapter 197 set to release on October 8th, 2020.
BEASTARS has 3 episodes left until the end! I would be happy if you could see the progress of Legoshi until the end. (The second season of the anime will be broadcast in January 2021 next year).

The visual of the cover for the 43rd issue of Shounen Champion was recently revealed, which relays all of the details about the imminent end of Beastars and displays the main characters – Juno, Legoshi, Louis and Haru.
The 45th issue of the magazine will release the final chapter. We also learn that the 21st and final volume of Beastars will have Melon on the cover!
The latest chapter 194, ties up one of the loose ends: the possible relationship between Louis and Juno.
The chapter begins with Juno asking Louis to kiss her as he had on graduation day. Meanwhile, Louis is in deep thought as he thinks about his inevitable future with Azuki.
Most fans hoped that the two would end up together, but Itagaki had a different idea in mind.
The current chapter ended with Louis deciding that he must choose the best path for his family business, Horns Conglomerate, by marrying Azuki. He tells Juno that he can’t be with her because life is not a movie, and you cannot have everything.
The Beastars manga series also received an anime adaptation with the same name in 2019 as a 12-episode show by animation studio Orange. The second season of the anime series is scheduled for January 2021.
About Beastars
Beastars is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Paru Itagaki. It has been serialized in Weekly Shōnen Champion since September 2016, with its chapters collected in 20 tankōbon volumes as of August 2020.
The story takes place in a world of modern, civilized, anthropomorphic animals with a cultural divide between carnivores and herbivores.
It follows Legoshi’s tale, a large gray wolf, a timid and quiet Cherryton Academy student. He lives in a dorm with several other carnivore students, including his outgoing Labrador friend, Jack.
One day that no one saw coming, Tem the alpaca is brutally murdered and devoured in the night, setting off a wave of unease and distrust between the herbivore and carnivore students.
