The fight has finally started and Kid charges at Apoo, now fans can’t wait to read One Piece 981 spoilers and raw scans in English. The official release date has been announced as well.
One Piece fans are very excited because the battle has started and it does not look easy. Luffy and Zoro, the dynamic duo, the captain and the first mate, clashed against Scratchman Apoo and it became surprisingly uphill for them.

One Piece 981 will be a part of the Wano Arc Third Act. Wano is a part of the vsYonko superarc and it will be the conclusion to this long, overarching story. Currently, we are nearing the end of the third act. Luffy and the rebels have launched a surprise attack on Kaido’s castle located in Onigashima.
Finally Released— One Piece Chapter 981 Spoilers
Before getting to the main parts, let us have a short recap.
One Piece 980 Recap:
Chapter 980: Fighting Music
Luffy is pissed off when he sees the Beast Pirates waste food. He thinks about Tama’s misery and attacks them with Elephant Gun. Kidd sees this rampage but chooses to ignore and slip away with their disguises.
Zoro cuts down a tower and expresses anger over Luffy creating chaos. But he too is angered when he saw the wastage of food. Apoo recognizes them and informs Queen about it, who in turn is surprised that Luffy managed to break out of Udon prison. Luffy and Zoro beats up a few enemies and starts to escape. They fight their way through hoards of Beasts pirates.
Queen commands everyone to chase them. He says that he will defeat a Flying Six member. The open spot can be occupied by whoever catches Luffy. This new incentive motivates everyone and the gifters go all out.
Apoo appears and attacks Luffy. Luffy is surprised since he could not understand how Apoo’s powers work. This surprise attack injures Zoro as well. Luffy gets attacked again and Zoro comes to his rescue. He grabs the injured Captain and rushes away. Zoro is worried that they have sustained too much damage even though the battle has just started.
Luffy recovers in no time and prepares to escape. However, they can not blend in since their disguises are gone. Apoo tries to attack them once more but he is interrupted by Kidd. Kidd is enraged because APoo had betrayed him and wants revenge. He attacks Apoo with Punk Gibson.
One Piece Manga 981 Spoilers:
The battle has barely begun and both Luffy and Zoro have taken damage. Fans are curious if they will be able to fight properly. We are hoping One Piece 981 will provide us with more material to discuss and make memes.
How did Apoo damage Luffy and Zoro? There are two parts to this. The first one is that it was a surprise attack. Neither Luffy, nor Zoro knew the true nature of the ability and so they sustained damage, being unable to defend. The second part is that Apoo is a supernova, which puts him on the same level as Luffy and Zoro. Its not a straight power-scaling, its more complicated.
What is Apoo’s attack? We believe Scratchman Apoo has special powers. Back in Saboady, he did manage to injure Borsalino, an admiral. After so long, he is bound to have gotten stronger and fiercer. He attacks with his music and does some sort of internal damage. Which is why, even though Luffy and Zoro saw the attack coming, they didn’t know its nature or how to defend.
Chapter 981 might show the clash between Kidd and Apoo. Kidd knows Apoo’s powers and so he can fight on even grounds. Also, magnetic fields can manipulate sounds. This bodes well for Kidd since he has magnet power and Apoo has sound power.
Who will Queen fight? We believe Queen will fight either Sasaki or Who’s Who. Now whether this fight is the same one as Kaido promised is unclear at this moment. If it is a separate fight, then the raid will be somewhat easier for the rebels as they will have lesser number of opponents to handle. One Piece Chapter 981 might put this in the limelight.
Lastly, this is only one battlefront. This excluded, we can see the rest of the Strawhats infiltrating, the right-wing, the left-wing, and Law’s group. One Piece 981 might also show the fate of Momonosuke, who is currently a prisoner of Kanjuro.

One Piece Battle theories:
The current Onigashima raid will bear witness to a lot of battles between the pirates. Over the next few weeks, we will be theorizing about who will fight who. We have large armies with lot of key characters on both sides. We will be starting with All-Star vs Tobi Roppo.
The Tobi Roppo are the ones who can occupy position of All-Star in the Kaido crew. Out of the six, Drake is definitely out. He neither shows interest in the position, nor it fits him because he is an undercover Marine. Page-One and Ulti are less likely as well – the former because he showed little to no interest and the latter because she thinks it is more of a stupid ordeal. That leaves us with Black Maria, Who’s Who and Sasaki.
Here, we should take note of 2 things. In Chapter 978, Who’s Who was asking if Queen could be replaced. In Chapter 980, Queen expressed a disdain for a certain Tobi Roppo. These two might have a complicated past, which might as well be revealed in One Piece Manga 981. So we are guessing, in the near future, there will be a showdown between these two.
Sasaki and King also seemed wary of each other. Assuming that Kaido’s promise is different than that of Queen’s promise, there might be two fights. But this also depends on who finds Kaido’s son, so there is a certain degree of uncertainty!

One Piece Chapter 981 Release Date:
On 3rd June 2020, a new issue of Shonen Jump will be released along with One Piece 981. They will be scanned and uploaded to provide us the raw scans. These raws will be picked up by various scanlators and they will translate it – first to French and then to English. Later, Spanish and Korean gets released as well. The date for this will be 5th June, 2020.
As for the official English translations for One Piece 981, they will be available on Viz, Mangaplus and Shonen Jump app, dated 7th June, 2020. The One Piece Episode 930 is still delayed with no future release dates in sight, we will keep you informed on that as well.
