An upcoming anime based on the manga of the same name, Peach Boy Riverside is set in a medieval setting where demons and monsters were common and believable.

Peachboy Riverside’s New Visual Gives a Cheerful Take on Its Gruesome Folklore Story
The story starts out as a pleasant and wholesome one but soon turns dark and gruesome. Of course, there are the good parts, but this one can turn really brutal at times!
The manga is written by Coolkyoushinja and Johanne, serialized in the Shonen Magazine R. It was published in August 2015 and has been going ever since.
The TV anime adaptation of the manga was announced in August 2020, and the announcement left us all shook, especially its trailer, which is a whole rollercoaster ride.
This upcoming anime packs a lot of potential, and I am so excited to see it on-screen!!
About Peachboy Riverside
Created by Coolkyoushinja and Johanne in 2008, the manga Peachboy Riverside is receiving an anime adaptation.
Sally is the princess of a small peaceful kingdom, but she yearns to explore the outside world. She meets Mikoto, who is an Oni (monster) hunter.
Sally is both thrilled and terrified of Mikoto’s power and sets out on a journey to become like him. The plot is a twist on the Momotaro folktale and discovers the dark sides to the story.
