Rurouni Kenshin X Edition and Road to Kenshin Bares Exclusive Scenes!
With Rurouni Kenshin’s live adaptation series commemorating its 10th anniversary, it calls for some grand celebrations!
The live-action samurai saga of the legendary assassin Himura Kenshin is Japan’s most famous cinema franchise. Even during the pandemic, Rurouni Kenshin Saishūshō: The Final was one of the highest-grossing films.
The last film in the Final chapter saga, Rurouni Kenshin Saishūshō The Beginning, will be released on June 4. It will give fans a chance to watch their favorite samurai on the big screen one last time!
Moreover, Warner Bros, the studio behind Ruroni Kenshin, is doing all it can to keep the hype up!
Warner Bros on Friday released the “Road To Kenshin ~ Special Edition ~.” The video looks back at all the previous films and contains never seen before behind-the-scenes clips of training and stunts.
The 17-minute video delves deep into how the director Keishi Ōtomo filmed the stunts such as Kenshin sprinting on the tiled roof and his fight against the arms dealer Enishi Yukishiro.
The video also contains interviews with series lead Takeru Satoh who explains his training patterns for the film.

The official website has also announced the release of “Rurouni Kenshin X Edition,” a special edition compilation book, to commemorate the completion of the Rurouni Kenshin series.
The unique collection will include posters, other promotional materials, character designs, costume designs, and original artwork. The compilation is meant to give fans a complete look into the world of Kenshin with storyboards and pictures.
X Edition will be available for purchase on June 4, which is the screening day of the final film “Rurouni Kenshin Final Chapter The Beginning.”
The “X” in the name is meant to have a double meaning, with the Roman numeral X representing the ten years and the cross wounds on the cheeks, which is the trademark of the Kenshin series!

The Rurouni Kenshin X EDITION will be available at 2,800 yen at every screening theatre in Japan.

About Rurouni Kenshin
It is a Japanese manga series penned and illustrated by Nobuhiro Watsuki. It was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from 1994 to 1999. A TV anime adaptation was also broadcast to 1996 to 1998, and it even has an anime film along with numerous video projects.
The English manga version was published by Viz Media, and the English anime version was released by Media Blasters.
The story revolves around a former assassin who, after going against the feudal government, changed his name to Himura Kenshin and changed into a wandering swordsman who protects the people of Japan. He made a vow to never take another life.
