Sailor Moon Eternal’s 2nd Film Teases Sailor Saturn Transformation

Sailor Moon Eternal’s second movie’s release date is almost upon us as we prepare for the second wave of nostalgia to hit!

Usagi has taken us on adventures that we will never forget, and all the Sailor Soldiers have become an inseparable part of our lives.

With aesthetically pleasing scenes and glittering transformations, the movie has brought our favorite characters back to life.

Since the 90’s anime is here to steal our hearts, why not forget about our pending assignments just for a while to watch them blossom on the screen again?

Toei Animation began streaming a new video for the second part of Sailor Moon Eternal: THE MOVIE. The two-part movie’s second film will premiere on 11th February.

Even though the clip may look like any other transformation sequence of the Senshi, one new and unique transformation occurs in it.

Sailor Saturn or Hotaru Tomoe’s transformation sequence was never featured in the anime before. This is the first time that her sequence is animated!

Sailor Saturn is one of the darker and more complex characters in the Sailor Moon franchise.

Her appearance had caused unease amongst the other Sailor Soldiers as she was known to be the soldier of death and rebirth. Her power is also unprecedented.

Although the Crystal series did air a transformation sequence, fans were not satisfied with it. Will the second film finally show Sailor Saturn’s full transformation?

The first film of Sailor Moon Eternal premiered in Japanese theatres on 8th January 2021. It was originally scheduled for a September 2020 release.

Sailor Moon Eternal’s two movies are releasing after 25 years since the Sailor Moon franchise’s last film. The movies cover the “Dead Moon” arc from the manga.
